WOW again.

Alpe D huez is closed to traffic now as there are that many people there already. It dosent get there til thursday.

Party time on the Alpe im sure :))

One day, I'm gonna go there on Dutch corner, probably... unless we have our own British Bend! :)

Gonna be at Alpe D on Thursday but bit worried about getting there from Grenoble on the Day. Was planning on a combination of an early bus and the ski lift (with the car as a fallback) but everything seems to be booked up.

Harrogate is going to be a top stage next year and the Harrogate Blues should be out in force.

*sings* Ventoux, Ventoux, it's Ventoux time woohoo!

What do we reckon fantasy director sportif's? Do you try and put Sky in difficulty early on at the cat 3 climb so they shed numbers, maybe send Kreuziger on the attack at that point for example? Or is it a case of setting a very hard tempo into the lower slopes of Ventoux (not sure that'd work myself). I think leaving it till the climb itself will play into Froome's hands again so Saxo, Belkin, Movistar, stay tactical please!

I think a lot of people are writing the sky train off a little to early and having just listened to Froome state
"I think a lot of people have left a lot of energy on the road"

That statement leads me to belive that we may well see Sky stay near the front till the foot of Ventoux then pace froome up the climb Looking forward to tomorrow and hope to see Contador blow up. I just cant take to a man who has to import his own steak during a tour :-)

Do I win anything :-)

Anyway the next stage looks set for a breakaway to win unless Cannondale fancy pacing Sagan over the cat 2 climbs for a reduced bunch sprint

Contador probably takes his own food after his doping ban was blamed on French meat! I do have some sympathy with him actually as the amount he tested positive for was so miniscule. The horsemeat scandal shows what shit goes into food & there's no way the French would hear anything against theirs!!
I almost hate to say this but, with hindsight, anyone else think Froome's performance yesterday was a bit suspicious?! It was incredible!

So bored today ive gone cold turkey :(

No TdF and the test over :(

Big week starts tomorrow though :)

Lance Armstrong blew everyone away when they were all doping so doping or not he was still miles ahead , so it is not a stretch to think if everyone is not doping that a person who is physically the best can blow people away. I think at the extremes there will always be a person who is best and it does not mean they dope or not. Lets be honest there are people in every sport who are the best and sometimes can win by a long way are they all on drugs or are they just that bit stronger, that bit fitter, tactics are that much better, body just that bit more suited etc.

Why was Froome quicker up mont Ventoux than Armstrong?

Well Armstrong did not get the catapult of Kennaugh and Porte for a start, the wind was different, the weather was different but above all Froome was about a stone lighter than Lamce and had a lighter bike, stick a rucksack weighing 17 lb's on froomes back and he would have been a fair bit slower I bet. Cyclists today look smaller and lighter and should make better climbers

There are plenty of free French streams with live coverage of the whole day's stage, some better than others, but no English speaking ones to the best of my knowledge.

Yeah if you can get online at all, just type free Eurosport into google and you should get up some streams. I was watching British Eurosport online and the cricket on the telly at the weekend.
