Toure kick out - no ban (update p30)

A ban depends on Sky. They decide who is banned and who is not, not the FA
If they show the incident every 15 mins from every angle including google earth the FA will ban him. If they decide not to show the incident a lot, much like any Rooney challenge then there will be no media crying out as it will be swept under the carpet and nothing will happen.

Yep, the media bias is gathering so I can see him getting a ban.

Re: Toure kick out - ban?

If Toure gets banned then the only person to blame is Yaya. Regardless of whether the media are highlighting it or Van Wolfswinkle made a meal of it, Yaya for no reason what so ever has deliberately kicked an opponent and in this day and age you can barely touch an opponent without getting sent off.

Its ridiculous how a player with Toure's experience can do stuff like this when we have a busy period and are hampered with injuries. Like other people have said its not a one off either. People complain about Rooney but Yaya is just as bad. With the amount of snidey tackles he does I am surprized he has not been sent off more often.

Re: Toure kick out - ban?

Martin Lipton acting as chief accuser on Sunday Supplement clearly he's a mouthpiece, as though he needs one, of Mourinho said that Mourinho will pressure the FA to act.

All depends as far as the FArce disciplinary system is concerned, city91, as to who did the touching!! Red shirt? No case to answer! Any other colour, or a team in the bottom half of the PL there's a three match ban coming to a doorstep near you!

Very stupid from him, he does stuff like that when things aren't going our way. Could have been easily a red, although it was nothing aggressive.

But have to say, Van Wolfswinkel's acting was equally bad.

So was Cheatin' Chico's! And Carroll still gets his three match. It is the lack of mention when MANUre's Scouse thug has consistently got away with all sorts of violent play on the rolling loop that is Sky and the 'public interest' approach from the RagInfestedBBC when the perpetrator is in sky blue. It's part of the RagMeedya Agenda. The Agenda is fact because no other answer would explain the constant and very noticeable omissions of Rag misdemeanours and additions of 'owt and nowt' in sky blue. The BBC - the Biased Broadcasting Cnuts!
Carroll's was harsh, but I can see the case for a red card. That was a dangerous swipe. A petulant flick is not dangerous or violent conduct.

Yaya will be OK, and even if he does get a ban, there are still positives to take from it.

What positives would there be from getting a ban? Please don't say that he can get some rest. If the management feels he deserves a rest, they'll give him one. Far better than the FA deciding on our behalf.

Terry, Rooney, Gerrard and Shearer before them have been getting away with it for years. All protected by the FA.

if the ref says he'd have given yellow if he saw it thats it isnt it? fa cant do squat
Not so sure about that. If the ref says that, he's admitting that he didn't see the incident (which he didn't, going by the replay). Can the FA not act independently of the ref then?

i thought in these instances the first thing the fa do is ask the ref what he'd have done if he saw it?

the whole process is so ambiguous i'm probably wrong

He will be rested for Barcelona and the League Cup Final.

Would he play anyway against Chelsea, and if so how effective would he be against Chelsea knowing that he had Barca in 3 days? Maybe better to rest and focus on key games. Two of the games he'd miss are ones we'd expect to win even without him, and the team will raise their game without him.

One thing that motivates a team is when you are up against it

Re: Toure kick out - ban?

These incidents should be decided within 2 hours of the game ending for me, it will end the judged by tv that goes on. All that needs to happen is the fourth official goes over any incident that he thinks the referee has missed with the match day referee and they decide in those 2 hours after the game..

To be fair I have yet to see Yaya get banned for his petulance.

Also I think the ref who was in charge of the Norwich v Newcastle game the other week got his decisions spot on. Remy went in with his head = red card and Johnson who clearly feigned an injury to get an opponent sent off got sent off. That's what ref's need to do, by all means punish the 'aggressive' player but also punish the other player for feigning injury.

After all, Yaya (if he gets banned) and Andy Carroll put themselves in the position to get sent off. However Chico and Van Wolfswinkle certainly feigned injury/ overreacted to get their opponent sent off. The FA need to send out the right message here and that is that the feigning injury should not be rewarded.

Re: Toure kick out - ban?

the thing is, hes doing it more often now, a sly kick in more games and pulling another player shirt when they go past him, but he's usually in a warmer climate this time of year. pellers needs to tell him to cut it out
