He won't be banned for that, the playacting from Vanderwinkelslipzen is comedy gold..
I agree. Very harsh to deem that a red card offence.

Re: Toure kick out - ban?

To be honest he was that ineffectual yesterday if he'd got a red we wouldn't have noticed, if he's gonna sit in front of the back 4 and stay in his own half he's as much use as tits on a bull ! i think yesterday he wasn't on it positionally, mentally or otherwise from the opening whistle.

Very stupid from him, he does stuff like that when things aren't going our way. Could have been easily a red, although it was nothing aggressive.

But have to say, Van Wolfswinkel's acting was equally bad.

So was Cheatin' Chico's! And Carroll still gets his three match. It is the lack of mention when MANUre's Scouse thug has consistently got away with all sorts of violent play on the rolling loop that is Sky and the 'public interest' approach from the RagInfestedBBC when the perpetrator is in sky blue. It's part of the RagMeedya Agenda. The Agenda is fact because no other answer would explain the constant and very noticeable omissions of Rag misdemeanours and additions of 'owt and nowt' in sky blue. The BBC - the Biased Broadcasting Cnuts!

A bit like Flores with Andy Carroll, yeah?

"Andy Carroll is red-carded for what amounts to accidentally distrubing the ponytail of an opponent." - Karren Brady
Wouldn't mind ''distrubing'' Ms Brady's ponytail!

Re: Toure kick out - ban?

If you watch the full incident it starts with a challenge from Van Wolfswinkel in which he leads with an elbow to Yaya's head. This in itself is a red card incident. Yaya, as he has done on numerous occasions, retaliated and this is also probably going to be deemed a red card and retrospective ban. The media have played a role in this with articles and slow motion replays (which from a lot of angles edit out the original elbow).

The reaction of Van Wolfswinkel is pathetic but what it has done is bring everyone's attention to the incident. Had he got up and got on with the game then nothing would have been said or acted upon (similar to the Carroll incident last week).

Ultimately the outcome of these incidents will probably go someway to encourage more play acting so that these minor events get noticed either during play or in the post-game media frenzy.

Re: Toure kick out - ban?

A ban depends on Sky. They decide who is banned and who is not, not the FA
If they show the incident every 15 mins from every angle including google earth the FA will ban him. If they decide not to show the incident a lot, much like any Rooney challenge then there will be no media crying out as it will be swept under the carpet and nothing will happen.

Carroll's was harsh, but I can see the case for a red card. That was a dangerous swipe. A petulant flick is not dangerous or violent conduct.

Yaya will be OK, and even if he does get a ban, there are still positives to take from it.

Re: Toure kick out - ban?

Ironically, as a result of the Norwich players play-acting, any action taken against Ya Ya will ultimately work against his club as he'll be banned for games against their relegation rivals. Well done!!
