Traditionally 'Blue' Pubs

The Nelson and The Royal Oak in Didsbury (big blue area) are City pubs. The Red Lion in Withington is split (red students and locals City), though they put a supporters bus on for City games and The Midland that used to be in West Didsbury was always a blue pub.

Lets be honest, the best we have are 50/50 pubs and/or ones that are City on match days only.
I don't know any fully 'blue' pubs round here.
Friendship gets plenty of blues in and landlord is a blue but they get at least as many United and he takes more behind the bar when they are on TV - definitely.

Fact is we are in the minority in Mcr these days (esp if including casual pub watching fans), hopefully a comeback is imminent.

Only if you count tv watching plastic rag vermin as being ''supporters''. Yes there are more saddo's who claim to be rags cos they've wanked off to Beckscum and Giggsywiggsy posters and watched a few games on $ky and $ky manyewtv.

Don't think thats the real question though. You can go to Essex etc for that.

Talking about half and half how about the Circus. Both rag and Blue memorabilia. Great little boozer.

The Crown and Kettle on the corner of Oldham Road and Great Ancoats Street was a big,big blue pub for years until it was shut in 1989 after it was trashed on derby day and someone was killed.

It now gets plenty of blues in on matchdays but is split otherwise, think the gaffer's a big red but gets plenty of city in.

the kennilworth and the junction in cheadle hulme are great pubs for city matches the landord of the kenny is a huge city fan and quite a few people meet up there before the game and go

the griffin is a joke now they shafted out the regulars and made it into a shitty food place was so much better before
