Travel to the USA

Yes, unfortunately I knew. Had plans to take our daughters to the obligatory one in a lifetime Disneyland trip but all shelved now, my eldest even says now that Disney is for babies and she's not interested. Saved money probably going on house move now, not sure how comfortable we'd be with travelling even if we could go there this year.

Am sure she'll change her mind when she hear about the rides, but right now it seems tramping around in oppressive heat through sweaty crowds, waiting in line for days unless you pay more, will all have to wait. I expect there may be some deals to be had, but also that it'll be incredibly busy when it does become an option again.
Go “off season!” Weather still good and crowds much less! If you can take kids out of school at NON-school holiday times, prices are much better. Only time FL isn’t beach is Nov - Febish. Hurricane season is Aug-Nov.

FL is full of foreigners in the summer, because Americans know you can go anywhere in the States and have great weather in the summer...even Idaho!!! Prices are set for the tourist season accordingly, so be aware of that. April-June is glorious in FL, but April is still “in season.” Also, Sept, as kids are back in school, but can get cloudy days if the Autumn chill heads South and creates a low cloud layer due to high humidity and tightening dew point spreads.

For you Floridians.. what do you think of this rota.. im hoping with help from you chaps to fill the destinations in..

days 1-4 orlando
Days 5-6 stop a night on gulf coast
Days 7-8 miami
Days 8-12 the keys
Days 13-14 stop somewhere on way home and hit orlando on last day to fly home
Sounds fine if 13-14 are on East Coast. The first stop from the Keys should probably be N. of Miami and Lauderdale, do you dint have to fight that traffic on your second travel day. Then, I definitely stay in Cocoa on that last day. You’d be at the closest beach, and it’s nice, and you’d be 1 hr from MCO!

Bish bash bosh!

I preferred Maui to Kauai but I loved all the main Islands , been twice and most certainly will visit again. We are hoping to visit Yellowstone next year all being well . Missed out on New Orleans and Chicago last year as obviously had to cancel.
You missed NOTHING in either place! New Orleans is a half day affair at best! Walk around, get sweaty, eat a shrimp or oyster Po Boy, go to hotel, shower & dress for dinner, do white linen at Bourbon Street...then get the guck out ASAP! One of my least favorite and smelliest cities in America!

Chicago? It’s definitely not a “destination,” but a “visit” type of city. If you know what you want to do there, it’s great, but I would NOT drag kids there, unless you are going to do a Baseball/Football/Hockey game, see a show, take a River/Lake cruise, visit the museums... it’s an ADULT city, and can be oppressively hot in the summer...or gorgeous weather. Flip the coin!

Once again I say fuck off
I thought you’d be enjoying your late season skiing?

BTW, the Gulf is a beautiful temperature at the moment! ;-)

Don’t worry, by May 1 I’ll be back in the concrete jungle of ChiTown schlepping mask complainers around the country! Kids gotta eat!

This is not a late ski season, lift closes next Sunday, then I have to walk
