Trouble in the East Stand??

Anyone defending the stewarding is talking out of their ringpiece. They are needlessly confrontational at nearly every home game and most blues from 110 to 107 are sick of it.

I sit in 209 so has a pretty good view and for stewards to be throwing punches no matter what the provication is fucking wrong. One in particular (Think he had shaved head at the sides) threw at least three punches when I was watching. Hope the twat loses his job!!!
Never mind losin% his job, if he was throwing punches and assaulting people, he should be up on charges and given a five-year ban from setting foot in a football ground, like any fan would be in a similar situation.
Isn't Fletcher supposed to be attending the city centre branch/Blue Alliance meeting soon? Maybe this incident can be brought up, to at least stop the old fella getting any more shoddy treatment from the club.
Showsec is full of rag twats. I was threatened with being chucked out a couple of seasons ago when I challenged one on the concourse. I was in the toilets when we conceded a goal and when I came out, one of the twats was jumping about, celebrating, laughing and cheering.
I told the gobshite to shut the fuck up and he summoned assistance from the yellow coat Gestapo. It was only when a supervisor came along and my account of the twat's behaviour was backed up by someone else who saw this antagonistic, shoddy display of unprofessionalism that I was allowed back to my seat.

The hate for Peter Fletcher on this forum is a joke.

I hope he reads this and serves us all a dose by forcing the entire ground to sit. Rather than allowing two specific sections to break FA rules.

Then perhaps you'll all realise the fuckwittery in these kind of threads.

(that's not addressing individual behaviour of stewards, if what is alleged to have happened its unacceptable and I expect he'll pay with his job)

it's not illegal at all so you're wrong.

fletchers a fucking joke and so are the stewards, there could have been a full on riot today if things had escalated.

crowd control? your having a laugh!

If those in authority refuse to acknowledge the complaints, then maybe a banner may get their attention at the next home game. Lots of telly coverage, I would have thought.

I was in the South Stand watching this and it was pissing me off, can't imagine what people in that stand were thinking.

If you go to a game and expect people to sit, you're a **** (especially the singing section). Stay at home and watch it on telly if you wanna sit!

Something needs to be done before someone dies. I keep hearing about this stewards stuff in Britain, totally baffling because there's nothing like it over here in the US.

This is in no way derogatory but if you were not there you do not know pal. Our stadia are completely different from yours and you will never understand. Trust me on this one mate

No offense but British football has a history of being reactive after a tragedy rather than proactive in preventing it. Whatever the solution is, let's do it before we have an embarrassment.

Again, no offense but you know this will either end with a sensible solution or someone in critical condition (or worse.)

The club need to realise that the battle is lost, im in 109 and dont care if people stand or sit but the whole block now stand for the whole game, you cant make that many people sit down. The mistake they made was not clamping down on it as it grew over the last couple of seasons. Many fans located to 109 this year on the premise that they would stand, the horse has bolted.

They should concentrate on making sure standing doesnt spread elsewhere if they want to be seen as doing something.

I would be interested in how many people have been injured thru standing in 109, the only danger to health and safety is stewards and the police pissing off large sections of the support.

seems strange that its okay to smoke in the bogs even though we are told it is harmful to others(i am a smoker by the way)t but no okay to stand in 109 when there is no danger at all

and the letter they sent out in the summer informing us that standing wouldn't be permitted in 109 this season was received....a couple of days after the swansea game, when they safely had our money in their pockets, WANKERS!

Is there some way we as fans can be proactive about this? The general consensus is that the security firm in charge are not doing their jobs better. Is there some kind of complaints procedure we can all go through? Perhaps a petition we can e-mail/present to Fletcher?

Just something to communicate to the powers-that-be that there is a LOT of unhappy fans regarding this issue.

think they may have realised after today that they fucked up big time, it was very close to kicking off big time, if this had happened in the concourse it would have
