I really didnt get the whole shop lifting storyline they threw into it in series 1. Just a pointless boring story for two very pointless annoying charachters.

It would be a dull old world if we all liked the same things, but fuck me if you can't appreciate the brilliance of Breaking Bad, there's no hope for you!

Cheers. Watched the first episode of series two and it was dogshit. I'll plod on with it though.

Dear Lord, it was second only to series 4 as the best of the lot. The worst series of The Wire was the 5th, and even that was light years ahead of just about anything else that's ever been on TV

Have to agree, season 2 for me is the best though, frank sobotka is second only to Omar as one of the shows greatest creations!

Its all opinions, but I loved series 3, thought it peaked there. Omar is a quality character but the thing that separates the Wire from others for me was how many really really good characters there are.
