Mobland

Good cast, only 3 in, can't decide whether it's good or bad.
Entertaining.

As has been said on here before the Irish accents are not so convincing, especially when you have a leading Irishman in the cast Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren, but still entertaining and gripping. Though I did think This is our city was better.

I'm a big fan of Tom Hardy though, better cast in mobland. Both entertaining imo

Mobland is worth a watch but I didnt think it was very good.

It's like the writers watched Snatch, Peaky Blinders, Game of Thrones and tries to merge them altogether. Their influences are extremely obvious and the writing feels a bit schizophrenic at times. They don't know who they want these characters to be.

A lot of series have this thing where you can see the quality but all the pieces don't fit together, but in their 2nd and 3rd seasons they become brilliant. Feel like its one of those.

Frankly, I'd watch anything with Tom Hardy in. What a wonderful actor. And the casting is amazing too, some huge actors in there putting out excellent performances. The action set pieces are pretty good. I like the setting and the general plot seems decentish. Its just the obvious rip off parts and the constant changing directions of character arcs that got to me. All the pieces are there.

If you don't like the Breaking Bad whiny wife trope though, this isn't for you. Every woman in this is cast as a whiny dickhead who doesn't appreciate her life or a hugely manipulative strang wamen who puppets everyone around her. This is very much a show written by men with mummy or ex-wive issues. Thats most lf these gangster wideboy series though so if it doesn't register with you then it shouldnt be an issue.

Only just got around to The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 2 and what a disappointment. Two of the worst acting performances I think I've witnessed in Dascha Polanco (Lucia Narvaez) and Kim Coates (Bruegel). Just what were they thinking? At least they both died so if I could be arsed when season 3 comes out, I won't be subjected to them again.

The big fight scene in episode 5 where they were going to hang Maggie is also possibly the worst choreographed scene I've seen in all of the The Walking Dead franchise.

To be fair, I didn't think Serafina was a whiny dickhead.

I finished it the other day and thought the same. It was terrible and I won't be putting myself through season 3

Ever thought of using spoiler tags?

2 episodes into squid game season 3. I thought season 2 was god awful but in comparison to season 3 so far, its looking like a masterwork.

What a dramatic decline, this was Netflix biggest show and yet season 3 has been out for about a week and I've barely seen any mention of it anywhere. I've got to stick it out until the end now that I'm this far in but it's just been relegated to background watching unless it see's a drastic upturn in the next episode or two.
Season 2 was that bad I had no interest in watching season 3, thanks for confirming I made the right choice :)

Just finishing the last season of Halt and Catch Fire and honestly, it’s been absolutely brilliant. Don’t know anyone else who’s watched it, which is mad because at the moment it’s one of the best shows I've seen recently.

Started out thinking it was just about tech, but it’s way more than that — proper characters, real emotion, and some top notch acting involved. Can’t believe how underrated it is. Would recommend.

I've binned that off after season 1 as well.
Shite, they engineered it so we could have the most irritating character known to man, Carol, shoe horned into the second one

She falls under the strang woman who puppets people. And she feels extremely tokenist as a character.

The characters are very extreme, like they think the audience is stupid. The outsider brother for example wasnt just an incompetent coward, he was the most incompetent, the most cowardly, that they could have possibly made him.

I thought she was ok throughout the WD series, she should have been in season one of Daryl Dixon but it would have meant relocating to France for a year back in 2020 so she cried off. They were going to call it Daryl & Carol so maybe just as well it didn't happen.

Fucking brilliant series, best thing I've watched for a long long time, don't know why it never made it big. Watched it on e4. Gonna watch it all again on itvx.
