TV Series

I agree largely. But I made the point about the length of it. Watching a setting for a 2 hour movie is one thing; watching it for a 10 hour or whatever series, is something else.

I do really enjoy dark, dystopian stuff - I’ve loved Westworld, Silo, Brave New World, Dark Matter and Severance all over a long format, so it’s definitely not that which has made me question it. But none of those are so samey, with jump scare/drooling monster killing being the staple of the show.

Just my take anyway mate. I will stick with it for another couple of episodes.

Can I ask, then, regarding the length; are you wanting the episodes longer or shorter?

Well tbf we’ve only had 3 episodes so far, and things might change. And because they are releasing them weekly, the binge opportunity isn’t there anyway, so because of those things maybe episode length isn’t really the issue. Each to their own mate, but I was just saying for me, I’ll probably loose interest if they don’t open up the show a bit storyline wise.

Thing is, I loved/watched the first 3 films in the series back in the day, but I’ve gotta admit I’ve not been a full on fan for the whole series of films/franchise anyway, so maybe this new series isn’t aimed for the likes of me anyway.

What's that about? I just tried looking it up and found at least 3 different versions.

They know this mission could be their last. A close-knit, elite military unit take on a high-risk extraction operation in the heat of war-torn Iraq. Explosive, tough action drama.

Just done 30 minutes of The Thursday Murder Club. Had read the book so intrigued to see what they had done with it. Personally found it terrible. Totally over-cast and stuffed with big names and over-dressed sets. Usual totally incompetent detective which you can live with in the book but becomes comedy turn on TV.
