Smoke, I enjoyed it upto the last episode which was bat shit crazy, the way it was filmed etc seemed like they’d run out of ideas, it should’ve just been 8 episodes, the 9th was not needed.
New Robin Hood series coming out staring Sean Bean.
It has been battered by the critics and the viewers, I doubt it'll get a 2nd series. Had a ganders at the write up of it and I can guess why it has been throttled.Wayward on Netflix. Enjoyed it but it ended so abruptly. Its supposed to be a limited series which means a definitive end and no immediate plans for a 2nd series yet it ended with so much left unresolved almost felt like the last episode was cut.
Started well. Peaked during the prologue episode, which ironicaly was Alien again, but went a bit downhill afterwards.Finished the first season of Alien: Earth.
It was a disappointing finale to what’s been an enjoyable show. My biggest gripe is how they’ve made Wendy far too powerful.
Four episodes in and have to say I’m underwhelmed so far.First episode of Monsters:Ed Gein. Great start. Closer to the brilliant first series than the shite second series.
Just re-watching The Expanse having watched it a couple of months back. It really is extraordinarily good. I was a bit confused by it the first time round, especially the opening season, when there seems to be too much information to keep a handle on (characters, space stations, space ships, who's on board them, which power they represent, etc.). Last time, after that dubious period of the first season and a half or so, I grew into it, and became a big fan by the final series.
It is very, very satisfying to look at. The story can be complex, even slightly irritating, until you get used to it.
I still think, though, that the gumshoe detective character, Miller, is weird. It's not that he's badly played by Thomas Jane. He just seems to have been dropped in from another type of series entirely. Most odd.
Yeah i'm not expecting series 2. Its my understanding limited series' are one and done shows with no intention for a 2nd series. I only mention a second series because it ends very much like they've already got season 2 ready as absolutely nothing gets wrapped up. Its very odd and unsatisfying. It has been battered by the critics and the viewers, I doubt it'll get a 2nd series. Had a ganders at the write up of it and I can guess why it has been throttled.
The books it's based on are also excellent. It's a long series but doesn't drop in quality. You also get more background on the characters too which a TV show just doesn't have the time to go into.Just re-watching The Expanse having watched it a couple of months back. (Actually, thinking about it, even Jane's style of acting and delivery seems to be more out of a 1940s film noir in, say, Chicago, than being an outer space dweller of the asteroid belt).

Just been watching my recording of Countdown (rock and roll) and have to say what a seriously nice bloke Mark Radcliffe is
I watch it on record every day (so I can fast forward suzie dents origins of words, sorry Suzie), I also think Colin Murray (who is never precipitated to) is a huge upgrade on Anne fucking Robinson (she could have killed the programme). I’ve actually qualified to go on, got the call to go on as they were looking for 2 new contestants as a 7 times winner was expected to be an ovtochsmp and I was on standby as a local person), got half way there in the taxi and was told not needed as he lost his 8th match the twat! So I’m on the list to go on (passed the audition) but had to cancel my next appearance chance when I had my stroke in June! Still on the list for when I feel a bit betterCountdown is my comfort show. Loved it since I was a kid. Maths I'm good at, words, not so much
If you need any advice or support on how to handle all the post show stardom and celebrity frenzy: @Mad Eyed ScreamerI watch it on record every day (so I can fast forward suzie dents origins of words, sorry Suzie), I also think Colin Murray (who is never precipitated to) is a huge upgrade on Anne fucking Robinson (she could have killed the programme).
