TV Series

Just looking through Netflixs coming soon section (which btw is absolutely dogshit and practically useless since that awful UI change halfway through the year) and this years festive offerings have to be the worst since it established itself as the tv juggernaut it now is. They've really just put all their eggs in 1 basket with stranger things which i fell off way before this final season.

New Ricky Gervais stand up coming on the 30th is basically the only thing i'll be bothering with. There is a new Harlan Coben show on new years day which is almost tradition now, that could be good but they've become much more hit and miss since they started churning them out.

For fans of 'Fauda', have a look at 'False Flag'. It's on Netflix but not available in UK.

4 Episodes in and it's shaping up nicely. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3602528/
Big bump but must say that I finally got around to watching this and it is brilliant.
Halfway through the 2nd series and it just keeps getting better.
Now to try and find the 3rd and final series.

Exactly the same way his books went

OMG, that is like a trip back in time, Dubya was still in the office and we were counting our last days under Thaksin!!!!!

Great TV, do not forget, Rudy acting as an adviser was literally playing himself as the Marine in the very outfit that spearhead 2003 invasion. I think they were a few other minor characters who were real Marines back in 2003.
Sad to say a couple of days after I had made this post, James Ransone who played Cpl Person one of the main characters in Generation Kill, died by suicide.

A new edition - Christmas special - of Live at The Apollo has just started on BBC 2. I find most stand-up tedious but thought I'd give it 2 minutes and see if it made me laugh.

1st up; Josh Widdecombe. Insufferable, inane, monotone monologue. I quickly returned to Blue Moon.

They kept switching to shots of people laughing in the audience; I assumed those bits were edited from previous shows.

Absolute shite.

On the 5th series of The Americans now, great sprawling yarn about a deeply embedded KGB cell inside of the US, brutal and intriguing.

61st STREET just finished the two 8 episode seasons and was impressed.
especially with the lead actor Courtney.B.Vance.
Unsure if he got nominated for a tv award but he should of done.
Both seasons are on Netflix.

Me and senior management have just finished the Harlan Corban mystery series Lazerus.

We enjoyed it. So a typical serial killer scenario, with a touch of the "6th sense" thrown in, with loads of twists and turns.

Maybe not everyones bag but we both enjoyed it, and were gobsmacked at the end.
