Good job the rags have earned enough to pay the near £500m in charges, interest, finance fees and "consultancy" to the Glazers they've paid out since 2005.

Any idea what their debt currently stands at, what stage their flotation in the Far East is at and where they got the £200m for the PIK notes settlement?

Don't worry about it. Our owners will have the best financial people working on this and even with our huge losses last season, if FFP had been in place, we still would have been within the guidlines.

No what he is saying is that the status quo WILL be maintained if at all possible - Rags - Chelski and Le Arse are all part of the status quo

United, Chelsea & Madrid were spending zillions in the past decade and he didn`t open his mouth until Sheik Mansour bought the club.

There has been much talk of a european super league which would destry the cash cow that is the CL for UEFA, without the CL UEFA would be a piss poor version of what it is now.

Platini will do all he can to prevent a super league (which is why we have the CL in the first place because the elite clubs wanted more money) and if that means doing down the new kids on the block City - Malaga - PSG etc then that is exactly what he will do and his statement reflects that by singinling out Arab owners.

The better news is that the FFP rules have probably kicked in too late to prevent us from progressing (a year or too earlier and we would seriously be in the shit) providing we maintain our CL status and make a few more strategic sponsorship deals i think we will be ok as long as we get that fookin campus built

I do agree with this statement very strongly. Ultimately Platini will do anything possible to undermine our progress. As I understand, and somebody please correct me it this is wrong that UEFA have stated the FFFP rules can be changed or altered at any time to match any criteria which they choose.

In other words they will move the goal posts if it seems we are breaking even, or working towards meeting Financial Fair Play rules.

To remember this though. FFFP only counts towards the Champs league. Winning the Premiership means more to me personally, whilst the Champions League is fantastic, and winning it would be amazing I wouldn't break my heart if we were excluded. Platinin cannot stop the club from spending, he cannot affect what we do in the Premiership.

1.4Billion people watched the Derby reportedly. Should we go on to have continued success and attract a huge global fan base would Platini really want to exclude us? His flagship competition would be seriously undermined in my view.

With the good work the club are doing building the Academy, the work going into the community and jobs the owners will eventually get recognisition.

FFP will be seen for what is it. A vehicle Platini is driving to keep City down.

I just can't see any club being excluded from cl due to these rules as it seriously undermines the value of the competition. Anyone that won the cl with teams excluded would have an asterisk after their win and that seriously undermines it as a competition and when the competition is undermined so is the cash, going beyond that psg and us and others are owned by some of the most powerful people in business when threatened how long before they use their business connections to start pulling sponsorships and the moment clubs begin to be excluded sponsorship contracts would begin to be questioned as it's no longer the product they signed up to sponsor as it's been artificially altered. It all comes back to the cash and uefa doesn't control that business does.
