Twitter Vs...

Celebrities and sports people use it as a platform to massage their ego.

I was listening to the radio whist cooking tea and I was shocked by some chaps opinion who they interviewed. The lad must said something along the lines of "the internet should be a free world, it shouldn't be policed, I support free speech", absolute cretin - racial abuse and death threats should be rightly punished.

I've never been on Twitter, Facebook, or any other social media, barring here. Although the abuse is abhorrent, people in the public eye must be either right daft *****, or so self absorbed to put themselves in this kind of position where random knobheads can put up this kind of shit.
Same here never felt the need for social media most prob because i am an old twat but if you are daft enough to go on it and tell the whole world what time you shit, fart, eat and fornicate you deserve to be shot at, no need for out and out racism though

The sad thing is that Twitter is actually a useful, free resource, especially for small businesses. But like a lot of things on the internet it's been exposed and actively marketed to complete shit heads.

Odd, that....

You're on Twitter!

I use it to banter with Blues as I'm on the go, follow City and other Sports stuff for latest news, follow the NME and various bands to find out about releases, BBC for news and some randoms for the latest jokes etc. Stan Collymore shouldn't need to leave Twitter because they can't regulate themselves properly. I'm glad he's taken a stand.

I do, but like you I use it to banter with blues, follow news so I only follow mates, fellow blues, journos and news resources. I think the place is clouded with celebs looking for attention and people are sad enough to follow them. Every now and then it is interesting to hear footballer's opinions on certain matters but that's about it.

Twitter is full of arseholes but somebody should teach Stanley that words on a computer screen will never be as painful as a mans fist in a woman's face.

The saddest part is that you can rip Collymore to shreds without needing to resort to racism, the blokes a fucking special case. Anyone needing to abuse him based on race is clearly fucking lacking but then that's a given.

With collymore, me. There are too many nunbnuts in the world that divorce themselves from reality because it's the internet. I was listening to 5 live earlier and apparently the cops say 'don't use it then' too. If your car got broken into, and they said 'don't have a car then', you'd see your arse, and quite rightly.
