Two teens die in motorbike crash in Cardiff resulting in riots

A few things that piss me off with this.
1. If the police were pursuing these kids there would have been a reason and they would have sounded the sirens and lit up the lights to get them to pull over, if they were doing nothing wrong then they should pull over but it seems they didn't.
2. If the police were not pursuing them and just driving along normally then why the need for these kids to bolt?
3. I feel sorry that these kids have lost their lives, I feel sorry for their families that they are having to go through this, but i can tell you one thing, if this was my kid I would be tortured knowing that I had fucked up as a parent.

Ely is a decent enough place compared to a lot of other places in Cardiff. Lots of feral kids on most council estates in Cardiff for instance Tremorfa where Craig Bellamy is from. I used to live in Canton not far from the football ground and that was a nice place to live.

Why would the police deny it!!!! Thats more the point. Feels like we live in a police state sometimes.
We don’t. They haven’t denied anything.

We don’t know all the details.

A brief shot of 2 vehicles driving along a road tells us v little.

Only certain officers are trained to pursue. A van is not a pursuit vehicle. Other drivers may follow. It’s complicated. Leave it to the experts.

Yep, it could be that the two kids saw the police van and shot across it's nose to wind them up and then disappeared down an alley. Jumping to conclusions on a 5 second clip is what caused the riots in the first place (not literally).

Not really. The chances of killing someone with a scooter is probably less than with a recklessly driven car. They’re more a danger to themselves as has been demonstrated.
Also, while what that 14 year old kid did deserves to end in a prosecution, I’ve witnessed enough reckless behaviour from cyclists tear-arsing along pavements who were much older and should know better. Often - but not always - they’re Deliveroo/Just Eat cyclists and one was inches away from cleaning me out while waiting for a bus the other week.

Pretty much every person charged with causing death by dangerous driving used to be a kid on a bike, motorbike or a car without passing a test and being reckless.

Should we celebrate when 2 young daft lads die being dicks? No. Should we blame the coppers for their demise? No

It's life and no sense can be made of it. They don't deserve our sympathy nor our wrath. It just happened and it will again.

Why was a cyclist waiting for a bus?

Your point 3 sums it up for me. The parent/s must have had an idea what they were up to. It’s all someone else’s fault nowadays. No doubt legal advice will have already been offered for free.If the Police pursue or turn a blind eye they will be criticised. A sign of todays Society. I am waiting for the he was no Angel but comment
