I've seen the footage. The bike zooms past at what looks like a high speed. A few seconds later a police van appears going in the same direction but it doesn't appear to be going as fast or have flashing blue lights. Half a mile isn't a great distance particularly in a vehicle. Coincidence both vehicles going in the same direction, one a police vehicle? Possibly.

That’s no denial, they could have been still following but just about to turn into the road . It’s a vague denial when they could have said they were not following the bike. But what if they were the feral kids weren’t going to stop by the look of it and contributed considerably if not wholly to their own demiseWhat exactly have they denied ? They have stated that at the time of the fatal crash no police officers were on that road.
They won't cylce on an electric scooter? That's because they're dead. Two kids are dead and no one knows what happened but the good folks of bluemoon think they got what they deserved. Lovely you lot.Oh dear what a shame, they won’t do it again, move along.

I know they didn’t have helmets on, I know it was illegal to do what they were doing, seen it loads, I bet they were cheeky scamps with a cheeky smile. Luckily they didn’t kill an innocent, they’d have got a couple of years and carried on, I won’t lose sleep over it.They won't cylce on an electric scooter? That's because they're dead. Saw a similar bell end run a red light across a dual carriageway no helmet, illegal motorcycle, no plates etc, a learner driver narrowly missed him, if he gets knocked off and killed then what? What about the poor learner who’d have to live with that or say the learner swerved into oncoming traffic gets killed!
If they weren’t fucking about it wouldn’t have happened, actions have consequences.

It doesn't appear to be, it is. Whether it's following or chasing is up to interpretation imo.There appears to be CCTV footage of the police following a scooter and the key word here is following. There is a difference between a police chase and following at a safe distance. It was a van following them and a fair bit behind.
And surely they should have said they were aware, following... just to clear up any confusion.
Sounds to me like they were following and decided to say were not pursuing so they can't get blamed. But none of us know I suppose.
