It has been done to death. I'm pretty sure Txiki has shifted some deadwood in the last 3 years.

As for Nasri,i've never been a fan but i can at least see why his ability was worthy of a renewal,unfortunately that too has bit us on the arse.
He's had too many injuries since then. But still made a huge impact in Champions league as he literally saved us that night in Rome when no body else would. That night alone pays for 3 years wages.
His impact this last season was also good when back from injury in matches like Chelsea and Stoke. It helped secure 4th. I wish we had him against Madrid in the semi final.

I'm just glad that Txiki is in our tent. We are a much better squad with him fighting our corner
This entire topic is stupid
So the criticism is that Txiki is not get rid of player quick enough and allowing them to stay too long on long contracts with high wages. Even though there where FFP amortisation reasons for this and he has brought wages down and Sheik and Arabs royals in general like to reward loyalty and success thus this partly explains the contract increases for Kolarove etc
The suggestion seems to be that we should sell players closer to there peak in the hope we get a few million more spend even more at a time when FFP was an issue. I am sure if we had an offer for players like Kolarov we would have sold them. Would they move ?
He keeps bringing the signing in and looks like doing even more.
Does he even get involved in contracts its not in the job description posted by the main critic this perhaps means he cannot get the blame for the situation at least not on his own but perhaps also not get the praise for the lower wage higher bonuses though it looks like his idea from Barcelona
He has got us the best manager around
He helps sort the academy out right and bring in the best youth players ?

Perhaps we need another footballing director is his job not to help both city and all the other clubs in CFG yet the other clubs have there own man also ?

It makes a very small minority of us 'fans' look bad. They know who they are.

I'm not sure that fans of other clubs don't complain about their DoF, but if they don't perhaps they should. It seems to me that managers often get blamed for the consequences of decisions made by their DoF's, whilst the DoF gets an easy ride. I don't agree with many of the criticisms of Begiristain that have been made on this thread, but he shouldn't be exempt from criticism. The tone of some of the criticisms might not reflect well on the individual posters, but the existence of the thread itself doesn't make City fans look bad. Some of the points that have been made, both as criticism of Begiristain and in his defence, seem to me be quite valid, even informative.

So we don't want to bring kids through any more?Our current CM options are Yaya, Gundogan, Fernando, Delph and Fernandinho. Clichy, Kolarov and Angelino are our LBs. Call me harsh but I'd argue that Madrid, Barca, PSG, Juventus, Bayern and Atletico have better options in the same areas.
The signings of Jesus, Sane, Zinchenko are v exciting, but the fundamental weaknesses are still their. LB has been a problem that needed to be addressed three years ago.
Txiki can't win any fucking way.
We buy players then we are stifling development. We don't buy players and people say we haven't strengthened.
