Txiki Begiristain

With the resources available and the nucleus of the 11/12 squad we should have built on and dominated the EPL in a period where the Rags and Chelsea were in transition, Arsenal were still Arsenal -but we failed to push forward.... Are we not now seeking domination through Pep ??? but his task has been made so much harder because of failures in forward planning at 1st team level over 2 seasons.

What do you mean by domination ? Winning the league every year from 2012 onwards, maybe throw in a few league and FA cups to boot along with them. It can't happen over here any longer, there are too many teams that have the capability of producing a title charge and Leicester if all clubs have proved that last season.

I agree that we should have built on what we had, but going back to Roberto that is what he wanted but if believed to be true, he was denied the signings he wanted in order to push on. Yes we are seeking to win more silverware under pep and a change in philosophy from the academy upwards...but total domination will never be achieved because the competition will evolve also

I didn't name any young defenders !!! What we do have is an ageing defence and new players plus a new manager with totally new ideas.

I would have thought a DOF for the past 4 years would have fixed such an aging defence? It worse now than ever.

We've been going through transition for the last 3 years, first, second and fourth, is that not long enough? When do we see a turnaround when we hit sixth maybe.

100% agree. Generally poor transfers have stopped us winning as many trophies as some of the great and very good players in our squad should have won. We've let the rags and Chelsea catch up when we could have really got ahead.

Precisely and that is the point, a transition with new players surely should have included new and young defenders or are we going to that next year and let them imbed into the team, how long is this transition going to take? We had the best team in the league 5 years ago and have out spent everyone since. 1 League title since the first one is pretty shoddy under those circumstances and who are the main constants from this period?

When you look at how shit that 2013 rags team was that won it, and Leicester (!) plus the FA Cup final that was there for the taking given the opposition, we should really have done better. Even just one or two better signings would probably have done it.

I believe it depends if any of our transfers turn out to be any good, by then pep may have moved on and we can start our new phase of transition. Hundreds of millions spent to fight for fourth

Now I've had fun watching people buy 3 LBs, I'll add in the RBs :)

Ok, so I'm giving you £110m, go spend it in that transfer market. No arguing over prices. You already have Kolarov/Clichy/Zabaleta/Sagna/Kompany/Demichelis in your squad.

So go play hindsight Txiki, if it's popular I'll extend it to other areas of the pitch.

Might be better listed in 'amount paid', rather than by team ?
