Txiki Begiristain

For proof of this just look at the "Nolito has signed" thread. It's full of comments about how Txiki has bought some no-name from a mid table spanish club.

5 months later everyone I know loves Nolito and thinks he was a great buy.
I'd say good, just about (since he doesn't always play), nowhere near a great signing.

I know this has been said before but

We have a transfer committee.
KAM heads it up.
Txiki negotiates , the big man signs them off.

People have reallised this , no.

He's a great buy. Incredibly intelligent footballer, 6 goals and 4 assists in 14 starts. Understands the pressing game, knows how to beat a fullback and has a quality end product after it.

Has played left wing, right wing and striker. Had a great understanding with Aguero and has a good one with Silva. More than happy to play wherever and whenever needed.

The perfect player to bring in while Sané is finding his feet. All for just £13m.

If you don't think that's a great buy, then your idea of a great buy needs re-calibrating.

People don't want to realise that, they need a scapegoat.

I would be absolutely gobsmacked if the Sheikh dealt with anything at all at club level. City is a minor investment to him, he will have others do the work for him when it comes to us, he has far bigger fish to fry. I'd also be very surprised and alarmed that al Mubarak has any say in transfers, he is not a football man.

That is not greatness. Greatness is much bigger than a good solid start. He's been a good signing. A player who never seems to have the ball under control at any point but has had a really solid start to the season with impressive stats, really good movement and a nuisance in and around the box.

What???!!! He's proved to be a great buy so far, the fact that you're disputing that just shows there's point debating with you as you're obviously not going to conceded any ground in this argument.

@domalino, fair play mate, you tried, but you're pissing against the wind here.

I need to learn that the only people who come this thread at times when Begiristain isn't in the spotlight are people with an agenda they won't shift from, and suckers like me who get drawn into trying to argue with them.
