Txiki Begiristain

I need to learn that the only people who come this thread are people with an agenda, and suckers like me who get drawn into trying to argue with them.
I have no agenda. I just think the scale of great is much larger than good. We both think he's had a decent start

I would be absolutely gobsmacked if the Sheikh dealt with anything at all at club level. City is a minor investment to him, he will have others do the work for him when it comes to us, he has far bigger fish to fry. I'd also be very surprised and alarmed that al Mubarak has any say in transfers, he is not a football man.
As i say , we have a committee and Khaldoon heads it up.
He has referred to it several times in his end of the season reviews.

With regards to the big man , without doubt he will know who we are targetting.

He will be involved in the strategy with regards money but he won't be deciding on players abilities or putting forward names, he ain't a bloody scout

I disagree,Garcia was never good enough so we sold him to a Russian out fit and bought an upgrade for less money in Fernando.
Now he has acclimatised, after overcoming initial injury and fitness issues, and is now getting some consistent playing time.......he is proving a very capable understudy to Fernandinho and living up to the reputation he earned in portugal.
His brilliant influence on Sunday was instrumental to the result.

Time will tell, I reckon Fernando will be offloaded if a replacement can be found in the Summer. As for Garcia not being good enough, he played 29 times in the Premier League when we won the title.

Aye,even though he had an exemplary attitude and improved towards the end of his stay,i still can't get my head around that.

Txiki did superb getting the money he did for him.

I'd say good, just about (since he doesn't always play), nowhere near a great signing.

That post right there for me shows how shallow the 'entitled moaners' on this thread are.

I cannot be arsed to check if you have lauded what would have been previously 'non-famous' names, but hindsight is just so fucking lazy.

It is just this sort of lazy attitude that sees people posting about players for other teams, Matip, Van Dijk etc.) that have had a good season as if these are the players the posters would have bought if only they had Txiki's job - but of course they are spouting bollocks. These same posters would have been moaning on and on.

Nolito was a great buy - he played an important role for Spain in the summer and we got him 'for a song'. People with common sense could see how he could be a back up in a number of key areas - and we need(ed) that and also a starter - you are, IMO being churlish beyond belief - or is this just attention-seeking WUM?
