I think we all need a dose of reality from the media. I watched the pep presser and a few points stood out:

Messi was only interested in Paris- fuck all we could do about it

Kane bid did not go in. Levy not interested until we arrived with 200m- fuck all we could do.

Ronaldo- The player will decide where he wants to play, not pep, city, United, Ole etc. If he wants United that is where he will end up. Again fuck all we can do.

The snubs, not bidding, fucking about in the market is just not true.

We obviously cannot find the right forward or they would have been purchased.

Moral of the story- stop listening to the social media hyperbole.

The club have a value which they can afford to pay this includes all the cost of the deal wages, sign on fee, bonuses, agent fees etc They will then bid lower than their top price to start negotiations

That Liverpool team who won the league play with Firminho he is hardly an out and out striker. Need Sterling to step up this year and ask to be played up front making runs behind. Don't have to be 6ft2 to be a striker.

Bollocks, the team selection in midfield caused the debacle.

in the CL final we had Jesus and Aguero on the bench fit. Bet Chelsea were laughing their bollocks off when they saw we had handicapped ourselves with no striker. No wonder they kept passing to the goalie who waited for our midfield to close him down on his goal line when he just launched the ball over the top and Chelsea were on the attack.

At the start of the summer it was clear that we needed a top class and pacy left back plus a striker. If we end up with nothing then serious questions must be asked.

Its a good post. The only one I would take issue with is Messi. I don't think we tried that hard as we were all in for Kane.

Agreed but not having a dedicated number 9 is a little odd
