PB thinks that is all they have, and he has info from someone who knows what's happening at UEFA.

I genuinely believe UEFA are stupid enough to build, trial and execute with absolutely no evidence.

The thing is, they don’t have to. They make the rules, the implement them and they are never looked at independently.

I’ve read some stories that they don’t even send representation to CAS barely. Not sure how true that is.

All they’ve done here is took a punt. Hoping that some of the ban may stick.

The real aim in all of this is to further damage the clubs name.

Absolutely correct, but almost nobody in the press seems to realize this. Are they thick or is it just a case of making the sexiest story?
The press don't care. We have always been guilty in their eyes for challenging the cartel this is just more shit to throw at us.

I think UEFA's AC were in a very dificult position. The hawks wanted City sanctioned but the evidence was not there so they prevaricated for months before being forced off the fence. They fell on the predictable side knowing that CAS would in all likelihood reverse their decision and UEFA could at least look tough on Arab money.

I think City would have bent over backwards if we felt weak and were unsure of our position at the CAS. The fact that we have stuck our heels in suggests to me that we almost know for certain which way CAS are going to go. This is not like a normal case because City have already been to CAS. We must know their advice (beyond their official published judgement).

UEFA will be laughed out of CAS, but the story will read as follows:

UEFA tried everything to bring to justice Manchester City F.C and their suspected non compliance with FFP. The ban and subsequent fine, we felt, was fair. We had and still believe we have concrete evidence

Public opinion will be: Bought their way out, again! Bent bastards. Corrupt. Even UEFA can’t stop them now!

You know that’s exactly how it will play. There will not be a headline that says Man City are innocent or an article that even considers entertaining the fact that we actually did fuck all wrong and that this was in fact a witch hunt.

The thing is, if UEFA had all the emails that Der Spiegel had, why did they need to open an investigation and talk to us at all? Why did it take the AC 9 months to confirm its decision? Why did they need us to co-operate?

If they had everything then surely they had us bang to rights?
They wanted us to find ourselves guilty.

CAS publish their opinions though.

Our appeal will be divided into parts and they'll answer each part with a judgement.

And if part of City's appeal is their "irrefutable proof" and that UEFA didn't let them hear it, CAS will write a scathing opinion about it.

One huge issue with that.

We accept a fine we accept guilt and Khaldoon, Ferran etc need to be sacked its that simple.

You dont tell us we have done nothing wrong and will fight this to then accept yet another pinch!
Nail on head.
Either innocent or guilty - nothing in between.
Why should City 'take a pinch'?

It's difficult to understand how stupidly some of these powerful people behave. They seem to lose all sense of reality. I mean Platini can't be a stupid person but yet he seemed surpised when he was arrested after getting a £1m payment into his account from Blatter for work he claimed he had done nine years earlier. To repeat an unfortunate phrase from one of our emails they think "they can do what they want."

Redaction is not doctoring nor material. Its perfectly normal and reasonable. Doctored has certain connotations (ie to mislead) which you are either suggesting or not.
I think the consensus among City fans is they were presented in isolation and out of proper context precisely in order to mislead - redaction of key data to falsely misrepresent their significance is doctoring pure and simple. That it is clearly material to refuting the substance of UEFA's allegations is also the official club position not just my opinion. I'm nominating you for the @johnnytapia award for dissembling lexical wiff waff ;)
