The Der Spiegel emails don't prove the case (whatever the case is). Not even close.

UEFA - a law unto themselves. I don’t believe they need to prove the case. They’ve got the backing of the whole of Europe & they know it. They believe they’ve won because they’re arrogant. But unfortunately they make the rules - even if they move the goalposts when they want. This hasn’t ever been challenged so they continue to do it. None of the speculation on here convinces me that we’ll win - the system is too corrupt & the implications so dramatic.

UEFA will be laughed out of CAS, but the story will read as follows:

UEFA tried everything to bring to justice Manchester City F.C and their suspected non compliance with FFP. The ban and subsequent fine, we felt, was fair. We had and still believe we have concrete evidence

Public opinion will be: Bought their way out, again! Bent bastards. Corrupt. Even UEFA can’t stop them now!

You know that’s exactly how it will play. There will not be a headline that says Man City are innocent or an article that even considers entertaining the fact that we actually did fuck all wrong and that this was in fact a witch hunt.

I’d settle for that outcome to be honest.

Nothing short of total exhoneration and the complete opposite for UEFA IMO will do. If the decision has anything bad about us it will be that the press report. I think the damage to our reputation has already been done and I just wish we could sue the living daylights out of the people and or organisations responsible. As always though the CAS appeal will be a fudge.

surely if our bank account shows xxx millions received and Etihad show xxx paid from their bank account that’s end of surely.

How Etihad fund their sponsorship is s not our concern just as long as the money came from their bank to our bank

It's because disguised owner funding isn't allowed. If, as UEFA suggested, Etihad is a related party then even that is completely irrelevant. If it's not a related party then as long as the funding doesn't originate from ADUG then it is no business of theirs.

I think the consensus among City fans is they were presented in isolation and out of proper context precisely in order to mislead - redaction of key data to falsely misrepresent their significance is doctoring pure and simple. That it is clearly material to refuting the substance of UEFA's allegations and also the official club position not just my opinion. We have proven the cartel and UEFA are corrupt and fuel their hatred through our success on the pitch - if they take us off it they have won.
We need to overturn this ban.
