Sorry mate, thought had said a reduction by a year would be possibly acceptable you?

I was responding to that and others with a similar perspective.

It can't be acceptable for the reasons I have outlined.

Agree with the need for City to project positivity but Khaldoon wasn't doing it for me and had no need to do likewise for the people in the room at the time.

Like Ric said earlier, I'm just very pessimistic about it. I've just taken the current punishment as what it is and anything less than that will be a bonus, as far as I'm concerned.

However, as far as the club is concerned, I'm fully aware of what this means in terms of the bigger picture and would be astonished if they settle for anything less than a complete exoneration.

Optimists live better and longer lives. You should try it!

There is no obvious reason why UEFA should 'cave in' at this point. The worst that can happen for them is that CAS rules in our favour. Why would they not see what the outcome is rather than dropping all sanctions against us now? It makes no sense.
Perhaps they mean their case caves in due to a technical error ie they broke their own rules.

Possibly, I would still hope we got our evidence out there for the whole world to see.

To be blunt, I think the quote is either old or completely made up.

Ever since this was sent to CAS, the leaks have been plugged.
Just a thought, I know thinking is dangerous, have the leaks been plugged because the earlier leaks have done irrepairable damage to UEFAs case.

You conflate what UEFA will do with what one person said. I doubt UEFA will cave, especially now. It seems however quite probable that at some point there has been a discussion about caving, which one person took seriously enough to make that comment in a way he knew it would find its way into the press.

City have to be right. They cannot be this wrong on their specialist subject, they just can't be

Then add in the Settlement Agreement and agreement City were released from after complied and UEFA's own statute of limitation then I can't see anything else other than City winning this appeal. Unless of course to comply City's books were fraudulent. And if that is the case, a Champs League ban is the least of City's worries as people could probably go to prison!

As already posted by some on several occasions, regardless if we are cleared by CAS,the media will just spin it and make it out that we somehow got off the hook but in everyone’s eyes we are still guilty, the shit that has been thrown at us this last number of years has mostly stuck even with the majority of it being a load of made up bollocks.I actually I’m looking forward to this hearing ( although nervous of the outcome) and for me it feels like the build up to a huge game ( of which I hope we win)..
