I agree that Tony Evans can be decent on the right subject but is generally to be avoided when it comes to City. His latest article on FFP this afternoon is full of errors, clearly betrays that he has more or less zero understanding of the subject he's writing about, and bears all the hallmarks of having been spoon-fed to him by someone with a clear vested interest.

Yeah, it's piss poor on so many fronts. It's not just the inaccuracies though. He's also accepting of UEFA leaking info to the press ahead of the final decision as if it's no big deal, and tries to balance it by implying City leaked info to the press back in the autumn with regards to us perhaps not getting a ban and it will be a fine instead. He has absolutely no evidence of this and appears to be taking UEFA's word on it but if he bothered to actually do some research and read the CAS document, he would see that the leaks are surely only coming from one side and CAS are hugely critical of UEFA but not City.

What's this bit he writes "....provided by Sheikh Mansour, the owner and ruler of the Emirate." - does no-one care about truth any more?

Any anti City comment seems to be good press nowadays . These reporters are desperate to damage City . They all know the dippers will never get away with another season like this and they know who will be thundering back next season . . So they are all doing their little bit for the poor little dippers .

Excellent post.
I think it's pretty clear from the CAS findings and the fact that UEFA haven't charged us yet that UEFA are struggling to find us guilty without stepping on a mine in the CAS minefield that has been laid out for them.
Certainly.they have been warned with dirty washing threatened if they take no heed. Seems their influence is a pale shadow outside the football umbrella that now contains the media.
Lets see if the hubris and arrogance some of the top table exhibit extends to anything resembling a guilty verdict.

Wasnt so quick to apply his sense of morals when Standard Charter, Liverpool shirt sponser were fined $1m for fraud 3 years ago whose chief exec is no less than Liverpool owner J W Henry, in fact was hardly mention in the media at all, so morals are selective in our media !

Weren't they fined $1 Billion for money laundering or something like that? A fine case of sport washing but the usual suspects never seem to mention it.

Reading article in the Independent today. Doesn't look good. Any decision taken against us would be mirrored by Premiership.
That's the story I just started reading this afternoon from Tony Jones or something like that.

I got down to the 3rd paragraph & gave up.

He had a couple of lines saying City were holding there ground on UEFA with the way it came out in the press but then it went onto stelph mode saying City were basically cheating & the Ban from Chumps league is on it's way then the Prem League will fine & doc points which get this City should except the lot & drop down the league table & take the medicine

Who the fuck are these twats who treat our club like a piece of meet

Why are we allowing all this publication week in week out, why are City not claiming for reputation, image, possibly loss of sponsorship & more

I like the way we are saying fuckall but also dont like these cnuts week in week out talking bollocks

The way I see it is the leaks have come from UEFA who have in turn got the word on the street

Bayern & Germany along with Liverpool & UTD have been stirring the pot here in England

Add the La Liga twat Tebas to the list & we have the main players in all this

I dont care now I just want City to go all out & nail UEFA, Der Spiegal to the fucking cross

I want to see them get fucking bummed by the Shiek & see the rest of those bent sniffing cnuts like Gill & Rummenigge, Bekenbauer, Tebas & Bartomeu
All get called out.

I would put my mortgage on David Gill behind anything

They've been fined a cumulative total of $1.5 BILLION for money laundering, much of it for Iran. However, John W. Henry isn't their chief executive.

You’d don’t know what your talking about do you?
Haha. I'm not pretending it's an in depth analysis. There are plenty of experts here providing that level of insight.

If it needs further explanation, Liverpool escaped punishment for hacking our computers because the offences happened a long time ago. Using the same logic, any charges coming from our own governing bodies should be dropped because of their age.

Or, as Evans has publically admitted, when he threatened innocent fans in Brussels hours before the Heysel Stadium disaster.

Yes but it's City in the dock not the dippers , so totally different rules apply .

I had to stop reading here...
City’s complaints about the leaks raised eyebrows[who's fucking eyebrows, bent journalists like you?], too. Leaks, unattributed briefings – call them what you will – are common in football.
They are such spin merchants, it's so basic what they are doing. I can't believe people fall for it. This is how easy it is, I don't agree with anything he said there either so:
His criticisms of City complaining about leaks and unattributed briefings raised eyebrows. In a process that is supposed to be locked in confidentiality until the final outcome, as they legally agreed to. Complaints about breaches of confidentiality and lack of due process from an authority are very common in all life, not just football.

What a fucking muppet.

Was there any actual news or is that another regurgitation?
