This is my take on FFP and I have just posted it on the Liverpool Echo website when debating the dealings going on with UEFA

If I owned a small business, and I wanted to put everything I had into it, to make that business successful and get onto the high street, then FFP would royally shaft me. They would say "sorry mate, you can only put in what you earn, stick to your little market stall. Close the door on the way out"

all the whilst the bigger shops would be creaming all the money in

So that's fair trade then is it

The fuck are you doing arguing on the Echo website? I think I’d rather bite my own testes off, slowly.

What ever the fans think of boycotting the champions league is one thing( I think its daft) but i can understand why some think that way. But for the players players and manager its the pinnacle. I heard a discussion on the radio about Liverpool fans swapping their season for ours and there was universal agreement that they would. However when it came to the players, especially the foreign ones it was no contest, they want the CL more than the league. I have no doubt our players would be the same.

Well Mr Canyou see thesky, i'd agree if we played in a shite League Un, or a League where you can win it a like a piece of piss 8 or 10 times on the trot like Italy or Germany, obviously they respect the competition more as they are actually challenged and it means something. Id like to see how many League wins they managed if any fucking one of them had to play in the English Premier League every year.
Its hardly anything to rave about beating Red Star Belgrade to a Rd 16 place (whilst losing badly away and all 3 away games in the Group stages) then fucking Porto in the quarters. A really good performance against Barca (sorry one out of the 2 games) and then a fucking god awful final against a Spurs side unrecognisable from the one we played in the quarters. Swop it for our season where we swept up all four available pieces of silverware domestically? A feat never before achieved in the history of the game in this country. Don't make me fucking laugh!

I was looking at City news and the article popped up so gave it a read - the comment section was hilarious and the statements were the usual 'broke the rules'...'arab thugs'...'oil money'

So I just registered quickly and gave a few quips back, needless to say the believe they are intelligent on Merseyside but they fail miserably

MEN.

CAS is arbitration so [normally] there has to have been a ruling made before CAS get involved, so it does seem a pre-emptive strike," said Kieran Maguire, a football finance expert at the University of Liverpool.

"In a sense, it's a defensive move from City - and it's perfectly valid. They feel that they have complied with all the relevant rules and that they've been picked on by certain clubs.

"The head of La Liga has been very vocal and the head of UEFA seems to want to pick a fight, with City and PSG easy targets. Going to CAS suggests City are getting all their ducks in a row.

"The application makes sense from a City point of view and also sends a signal to UEFA that they mean business."
