Old news but it keeps cropping up and I just wanted to know if I have it right in my thoughts about it:

My understanding is that this is incorrect, that ADUG were not mentioned at all in the emails, that this is where City say things have been taken out of context and misrepresented.
As an aside our deal with Etihad is worth £45m a season over 10 years and that remains unchanged but we can ask for extra one year and take less the next, to give us more wiggle room for transfers/FFP.

Sources at Der Spiegel claim to have seen a leaked email from 2015, in which City’s then-chief financial officer Jorge Chumillas informs club director Simon Pearce of ADUG’s contribution.
The email reportedly states: “Please note that out of those 67.5m pounds, 8m pounds should be funded directly by Etihad and 59.5 by ADUG [sic].”
