EDIT - I originally embedded a tweet, but it doesn't seem to be loading.

Just on timing, worth noting this comment from Stefan of the 93:20 pod, who's an experienced lawyer. Anyway, tweeted by 93:20 podcast host Ahsan Naeem, Stefan's comment is as follows:

"This will be a relatively quick one because that’s the whole point in a dismissal application. It’s designed for things that don’t need extensive evidence. Both parties present their arguments and the judge decides."

It's still all leaks as far as I can see.
Nobody official from any side seems to have confirmed anything.

Is this Harris guy reliable?

CAS have not said anything yet about a case being filed.
Maybe it’s all a big blag by City. Leak intention of going straight to CAS then sit back and watch as journalists clamour to paint us as shady.
Then just shrug our shoulders and point to the grossly unfair manner that we’re reported on.
After that CAS think we’ve got a point about Uefa being ****s and side with us.
Then we sign £300m with of players and win the World Cup.

Think I might be a bit stoned so don’t take that as gospel..

Is bribing your way into the top flight one of these conventions you speak of?
Wasn't that the "agreement" between the chairmen of Arsenal and Liverpool to enable Arsenal to be promoted even though they finished 5th in Division 2?
If so, fast forward nearly 100 years, and the same two clubs are at it again.

Some things never change with these 'istree clubs.

From the AP article, I found the following comment interesting.

Proof positive that someone at UEFA is leaking to the press!
I think what is happening is that someone on the UEFA investigations committe with a commercial interest on behalf of his own club is passing information to someone in the hierarchy of his own club who is using another third party to leak it to the international media ie the New York Times and Associated Press. You don't need to be Sherlock Holmes to know who it is and why it is not going directly to the British press.

Balanced reporting as always from Ian Herbert, ffs.

The angle he has taken on this article ie that "City fears are growing etc" suggests he has been briefed by one of our domestic rivals. You can guess which one it is. In fact I think what has happened follows on logically from Khaldoon's comments last week and suggests that City have a rock solid case against UEFA. Our lawyers are not stupid. Going directly to CAS is a confident proactive move. A more accurate reading of the situation is that the chances of any European ban are receding. Is anyone in the UK media ever going to report the full story and background properly. The international media is leading the way on UEFA issues as usual.

That was a rhetorical question I'm guessing?

If UEFA can investigate FFP going back 6,7,8 years ago why can't the links to New York Times, Liverpool FC, Fenway and Rick parry go back 8 Years.
The links are there. Parry + UEFA +New york = Possible source of the leaks to the press.
FSG, Liverpool and NY Times are interlinked as both FSG and NYT were major Liverpool shareholders.
Where FSG are based is irrelevant.
Its the possible links between the parties.. Rick Parry is a Life long LFC Fan , former CEO LFC, Board of UEFA and NY COSMOS.
News stories broke in New York at NYT and AP News.
There are lots of links between the sports franchises in the USA especially between Boston and New York. The owners move in the same circles and know each other personally. There is no doubt that a lot of pressure has been put on City's owners by the US owners in our Premier League. They have been behind a lot of the mud that has been thrown. It is wider than just the Fenway Group and the Glazers. It goes right back to the takeover period in 2008. You can also be sure that CFG have upset people in New York. Why is most of this stuff appearing first in the US media? Who was behind the so-called letter lobbying the Premier League to launch their own investigation following the last Der Spiegel story?

The media in general is fed by rumour and supposed leaks. We have no idea of what the actual story is that is ongoing behind the scenes. Things like this are typically subject to high levels of confidentiality because they are commercially sensitive.

UEFA have already broken that confidentiality and I have no doubt that they have already compromised whatever case they may have in other ways and CAS will have to take that into account.

City will attack the credibility of the case because of the above and also because for a start the information leading to the investigation came from illegally obtained information.

There are clear flaws and so if CAS cannot uphold the UEFA FFP disciplinary procedure as credible then the result cannot be upheld either.

Definitely worth quoting, the thing that also really irks me is the conflict of interest with David Gill.

UEFA are corrupt to the core! These other teams are shit scared little fannies

It was rhetorical but I am genuinely surprised that no one in the UK has attempted to tell what is clearly a fascinating story. The skullduggery behind the battle between City and UEFA is a better story than "our owners are evil." For example the article in the New Yorker about Louis Pinto was excellent. I haven't seen Pinto interviewed anywhere else.
Not all UK journalists are biased against City (though some clearly are). This whole saga just shows how shit the British media has become. They just don't have the resources to investigate this properly and a lot of the younger reporters are just gullible.
