Football is now so far removed from 22 blokes kicking a bag of wind between 2 sets of goalposts a 100 yards apart for 90 minutes. We are now into the realms of industrial espionage on a grand scale.

UEFA (including David Gill) inspecting City’s books in great detail but as far as I’m aware United don’t either publish or present a complete set of accounts.

Yeah, I guess you can never fully trust UEFA. Think the idea that they’re waiting until the Madrid game is nonsensical though.
It is likely to be leaked though like all the other developments and most of them have come at times which cause maximum damage. I am not saying UEFA is out to get us but we have a lot of powerful enemies, some of whom have pals within UEFA.

I think it’s the case that individuals within UEFA - 2 names come to mind (although one of them has recently departed) were operating their own agenda to damage us. The leaking of all that nonsense immediately after we won the title last year was disgraceful and I’d hope UEFA conducted an internal investigation because it was woefully unprofessional and that might be why one of the names I have in mind has since departed.

"UEFA and professional" in the same sentence is something which I would not expect to ever see. Quite a stretch of the imagination.

I seriously doubt that acknowledging City's achievements are high on their agenda , and the " inner circle " enemies are all busy pecking away at them in order to damage our progress as much as possible.

The Investigatory committee could apply a sanction, but of limited scale - I think 100k euros, from memory.
As far as I know, the only meaning of passing it to the Adjudicatory Committee is that a higher sanction has been recommended.

Nothing on that has changed since.
We shouldn't pay any financial sanction. I would expect our lawyers to represent us to the standard SM expects and to go to town on the entity that is EUFA (just a business) and how an individual can re-energise a business and transform it so that it competes on the same terms as Manure, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Barca, Bayern, PSG, Juve and Madrid. We are the face at the window that these clubs don't like. They've been used to dominating while building up huge debts to sign superstars. Meanwhile, we were supposed to gaze in awe at these clubs because it was never going to be us. But we're here and here to stay and they don't like it. Liverpool, Manure, Chelsea and Arsenal had their private mini-league. They can't handle the fact that we've disturbed things - stopped them winning trophies. They don't get it that they bored the country to death. As a club we're not yet at our optimum level. I look forward to the day when we can sign the Mbappe level players. At the moment we're turning superstar prospects into superstars. We can improve on that.

I guess the point I was trying to make was that there’s still a need to distinguish between the general unprofessional collective conduct of Uefa - and the guerrilla tactics of Parry and Gill et al who seem to see nothing at all wrong with leaking all manner of confidential info to their unscrupulous friends in the press. All told UEFA collectively are a joke and City shouldn’t think twice about dragging them to the courts - tip that lot upside down and a whole canteen of cutlery will come falling out. Whilst I’ve made the distinction between uefa and it’s individual board members - I guess the Courts won’t.

Perhaps we are being too docile with UEFA's allegations. Rather than just sitting back and trying to look all pretty to the footballing world, maybe it's time for Sheikh Mansour's executives to get out there and put a stop to this whole affair with the ultimate threat of serious litigation aimed at the UEFA top rank. See who blinks then. I think we would be fully justified if this whole affair is seen to be affecting the club's business as surely it must be if it is affecting our rebuilding needs.

I'm pretty sure they'll have left UEFA in no doubt about what will happen if their verdict isn't to our liking

Our Chairman didn’t seem to be in any mood to take any further pinches at the end of last season. I think (or hope) we have told UEFA to do one when they’ve suggested a ‘compromise’.

How do know it hasn`t already be done ?

I was just checking the stats and since the G 14 clubs set up shop in 2000 only one team outside their number has won the CL (Chelsea, and by God did they try to stop them). In the 20 years prior to that there were 5 teams outside the G 14. Funny that, innit? And not corrupt, of course...
