And a newspaper lasted three days. Day one we read it. Day two we spread it on the table like a tablecloth, and day three we cut it up into squares and put it on a nail in the outside lavvie.

At the start of the Covid when bog rolls where in short supply a neighbour bought 12 newspapers lol. Said I'm not proud, I used them as a kid.

Thinking about it, it's about all our newspapers are any good for now.

Spoke to someone pretty well connected at City earlier, and he said that the feeling within the club was that the hearing had gone really well. Could of course mean nothing, as the arbitrators have only just started their deliberations, but it sounds promising so thought it was worth sharing.

Thanks ric

Hope you and yours are staying well. Looking forward to seeing you on a plane to Europe following the blues next season when we beat this ban! Keep us updated

It won't matter. FFP won't be recognised in its current form when the window reopens.

Possibly a luxury spending tax on acquisitions over £50m.
A luxury spending tax is a great idea as long as it is ringfenced for grassroots football. According to their annual report UEFA spent more than £6m just monitoring FFP. What a waste of money and time. And that figure was up hugely from the year before.

If we lose now then we are guilty, nothing more simple than that.

Say what you want about UEFA but CAS it's not guilty or guilty the rest is just is fans trying to make out weve done nothing wrong.

Hopefully we win & the rest is history

2 fingers up at the fuckers & we go & sign 5 players & smash £300m spend
Not so,we move on to the Swiss court

God I remember using newspaper as toilet roll, nothing gave me more pleasure than wiping my arse with the sun or the news of the world looking back, it was pretty sharp on the hole scrunched up newspaper.

Did anybody have the toilet roll at school that was literally like thick tracing paper? When you wiped it slide half way up your back.

I believe that this was produced on a budget of 10 bob an episode

It was top TV if you were 5 years old in the late 60’s. The Flashing Blade, White Horses, Robinson Crusoe, Casey Jones, Belle and Sebastian, Champion the Wonder Horse, The Double Deckers, Daktari, The Virginian, The Banana Splits.....I loved them all....and then Noel frickin’ Edmonds came along and ruined everything

This thing that both parties are satisfied makes me think it will be a ban but a reduced one. Issue is if any kind of punishment sticks then Premier League/FA is the next one to as the new CEO will be instructed by Pool and United to do us.
Soriano and khaldoon said explicitly that we have done nothing wrong,we will not take a ban otherwise they have ruined their credibility ,if we lose here we take it further

Bookmarking for when it all goes tits up...

But no, thanks, fingers crossed!

manchester city was happy with appeal ?? manchester evening news ?

i never said we won anything ?? just said have took a offer because manchester evening news also said both parties was happy with the outcome
We are happy with the conduct of the trial ,not anything to do with the outcome ,any feal, nothing, both sides have to declare they are happy with the way it has been conducted, that is al!

Thanks Rik. I know it doesn't tell us what the decision is going to be but these "feelings" are a guie to feeling within the club and when people express their feelings in such unostentatious terminology you can take it they are genuine and not just to keep morale up.
Let’s just hope UEFA don’t also think it went really well too!

Good lawyers make their clients feel confident so the chances are that UEFA feel it went well for them too. That's unless we have evidence that proves UEFA have penalised us again for breeches that were dealt with the first time round, IMHO. Anything else and I reckon the decision is in the balance. The alleged dodgy sponsorship payments and whether we complied with the investigation can probably argued both ways.

I disagree with this. Very experienced practitioners can frequently read the mood music based on the way the arbitrators conduct themselves, the questions they ask and the way they interact with the representatives of the respective parties. It's not a foolproof guide but they often have a pretty good idea.
