Something just occurred to me. On here the vote is 48% “Ban overturned and city exonerated” and 52% “something else”. The Brexit vote was 48% vs 52%. Without revealing which way I voted I was confident and then it went the opposite way to what I thought. Hope is his one turns out better than last time!

You just revealed the way you voted.

Let’s hope so. I’m a pessimist by nature, but can’t help but be encouraged by Guardiola’s words.

Same. I genuinely welcome TH's and others' optimism on here, and while let it get me ever so gradually more hopeful, I reserve that little bit of dour caution at all times.

Can't help seeing the positive in this one though.

I think they’ll get the verdict a couple of days in advance to to prepare the press releases. I can’t imagine the two parties get notified significantly in advance
If uefa get the verdict a couple of days in advance there’s no way this stays quiet until 13th. They have more leaks than the fucking Titanic

The way arsenal are playing it's as though they know there will be an extra champions league place. I think Arteta knows.

2 year ban will be upheld

Or he is a manager with hunger and wants to keep his job, and has found a way to get the players to respond.

(till they meet us in cup semi)

Edit: i completely misread the tone of that post. Fair enough point.

huh? Last news I read Pep said he wants to stay with the club regardless of what the outcome is on this FFP thing. Now all the sudden he resign? I seriously doubt. I believe Pep is gonna stay, even with the 2 year ban.

Arsenal have had one decent performance since the resumption. Why on earth would Arsenal be the club that gets the scoop on the verdict before even City did? If you're looking for indicators, Arsenal beating Wolves isn't one.
Quite.
It could just as easily be posited that Sheffield Utd’s collapse is down to them “knowing” that City have won and so there isn’t a champs league place up for grabs.

Wasn't the original date for making the decision public said to be the 8th or the 9th? And wasn't it said the parties would get to know the decision of CAS a couple of days before? I am thinking the club could actually know by now.
