UEFA Independent Inquiry

Although this clip (the second video) was on Sky Sports I can only find it on the Twitter page. The voice of reason, if you go abroad don`t expect to be policed like you are in the UK. You are not being singled out for being British this is how the foreign Police roll.

On a more positive note, the BBC article on new PL measures against pitch invasions mentions Everton v Palace, but not the "attack" on Olsen. That was a tap-in for them, so I suppose they now accept it was bollocks.

Don't bother reading the article though. Headline says "PL clubs agree new measures to tackle pitch invasions" but the article just quotes Masters as saying "These types of incidents must stop and new measures for next year will make that clear". In-depth reporting it isn't.

Edit: Why the hell did I post that here? :)
I think the so-called attack on the Villa keeper was just a dishonest comment made by Gerrard as a deflection tactic. The video looked like an accidental collision and I believe the complaint by Olsen was withdrawn. Not seen any media outlet report it truthfully though. That's not a surprise.

Widely reported. It is a rule that it will be available for 7 days and of no request is made it is deleted. Standard practice.
I am trying to understand just what has been widely reported. Is it CCTV from inside the ground, from outside the ground under the control of the SdF, or from outside the ground under the French police? God, reporting on this is so poor.

Think I will try to find some original French sources.

OK. So it is CCTV under control of the FFF, so immediately outside the ground and, presumably, inside the ground. The guy from the FFF couldn't say why they hadn't been asked to keep the CCTV, but did say say investigations at the outset were on fake tickets and not on violence outside the ground.

One interesting thing. The police guy who originally said 40,000 with fake or no tickets did say it was just an estimate they "subodorait" at the time. Subodorait means smelt, or, more favourably, sensed. I prefer smelt though. :)

I reckon he underestimated.

UEFA aren't thick. I'll await them releasing they've had 57,000 ticket refund claims.

Got asked to apologise by a couple of Liverpool fans today for my comments about fake tickets being a part of the problem, i do acknowledge that poor organisation & over zealous policing were also to blame.
Their reply to me of "we have been completely exonerated by the police apology" isn't completely true though is it ?
Or am i being massively thick here ?

Gerrard was low on my list of decent people and he's fallen further down now, what a scumbag he was that day. The goalkeeper is nothing more than a worm too and will no doubt get some deserved stick next season.

If I hear one more person mentioning protecting the players when you have football clubs players and their managers not giving two shits about the fans who are the lifeblood of football I will scream.
