Mail on Sunday said 2589 fake tickets used to attempt entry and made out it was insignificant. I wonder how many fakes at the average match? I’m willing to bet it’s nowhere near that figure.

I haven't read the article, but did they mention that the dippers with the legitimate tickets should just let it go, cos it's insignificant?

It also misses the point. That is the number they detected which as you say is high, how many tried and were turned away thereby adding to the overload of fans.
 
On a side note, the Telegraph has had to remove the comments section from an article regarding the Hungarian children booing the players taking a knee. I know this because the racists have all piled into another story to tell everyone.
Racism really is a big problem with white, middle class ? people. If an England player voluntarily takes the knee, why would anyone object.
 
Reaffirms two things to me. Paris is a complete shithole and very dangerous and a significant minority is the scouse fans are blaggers who attend games without tickets. Genuinely glad with hindsight that we got beat by Real as would not have wanted to experience the gangs of the area while attending with my daughter.

Look at it another way. Every villain in France got in a car, on a bus or flew to get to Paris. Hearing that 100,000 were attending they knew there was money to be made.
If we had played Madrid there would have been little trouble.
I said to my mates that I did not fancy going, not because of some alleged 'north African illegal immigrant gang' but what shit the scousers attract and cause.

no the neighbourhood around the stadium is a shithole. Would have been trouble with whoever was there. Not having it. Many real fans mugged too.
 
If I was in charge of the investigation my first step would be to publish, in the liverpool echo, all those photos on social media of those miserable looking twats brandishing their tickets through the bars of the gates and ask each of them to come forward with their tickets, identify themselves and establish whether they really did have genuine tickets.

That would be the Liverpool Echos decision sadly and we know how that will go. Social media evidence of them selling batch loads of fake tickets from a packet should be part of their report though

I have no doubt that criminals from across France travelled to Paris at the thought of 100,00 targets. A lot of them will have been white and French born. To narrow it down to another continent and whose people are of a different colour is shameful.

You’d imagine most illegal immigrants prefer to keep their head down & avoid being detected but not last week. No, they decided to go to the biggest event in the world on that day with the highest number of police gathered & ready to pounce.
i also find it amazing that not only could journalist spot & identify that all tickets were genuine but they also were able to identify peoples citizenship status just by looking at them.

2589 in one end of the ground, probably in the same sections!

So yeah, it's a huge fucking problem but it is being airbrushed into a minor consequence.

Scousers didn't get what they deserved, apart from the result.

2589 fans arguing & refusing to move so that others could get in. Imagine if they only argued for 5 minutes what that looks like.

People have seen the mayhem from delays caused just by showing your vaccination status.

The 'minor consequence' they are trying to push is nearly as much as the away section at the Etihad. It would create a considerable problem on any. ground.

If you are a journalist it's not hard to spot a criminal.
That man has black skin, he is in a white country ergo he is an illegal immigrant and therefore no money. That means he steals to fund his drug addiction.
That man has lighter skin but he's not white, that means he must be an Arab and we all know about Arabs and their grinning beards.

(By the way the use of the word ergo is a guess. I was feeling all journalistic.)
