g) taking all the above into account I am concerned that adding to our number via illegal immigrants will only increase the pressures on all the above and people are genuinely scared about their future.

These are amongst other things, the issues that bother me and I want to protest about. Please don't say at the ballot box because that has already been proven to be ineffective. Starmer has attracted less than 35% of the national vote yet has a very powerful grip via a stunning majority of 167 seats in the House of Commons, I don't like that either, it is totally unjust and unfair.

How does the majority get its voice heard?

Finally, I am totally against violence and attacking Police Stations and Mosques etc.... but if I turn up for a peaceful rally to make the above points or even enter conversation to the same end I am a Right Wing Fascist and a Racist am I?

Those are all valid questions, and concerns. I wouldn't personally attribute them all, if any, directly to immigration, but willing to consider each point and think about them.

What I would say is, if you're someone who just wants to have a grown up conversation about the immigrations levels in this country and what we can do tackle the issues you're raising here, going along to a riot where they are attacking black and brown people, burning police stations, attacking mosques, looting shops and setting fire to police cars and local property is not the best idea, because their agenda and your stated agenda would not be the same.

If I had grievances about how black women are treated in our hospitals (which is a real problem by the way), and I wanted to protest that, I'd be an idiot to team up with local criminals who just want loot, riot and destroy property.
 
Fuck me I just nearly fell off the chair, couldnt believe what I heard as it was the first time Ive ever heard a bit of onus put onto the CPS as well as the police. Yvette Cooper just said on the news that they have made sure that there are enough prosecutors working through the weekend. For context, if the CPS are looking to charge someone on whats called a red case and to seek a charge and remand on custody (rather than bail to do it,) they need to have a prosecutor read through it and advise and authorise it. They will be working from home to do it, and everything gets written up and sent through digitally for them. The CPS are imho cunts, difficult, negative, awkward and work in the background while the visible authorities ie the police take all the shit.

To hear them being made to stand up on a weekend of mass disorder and made to muck in is such a refreshing change I nearly choked on my ale.

I like to think Starmer being PM has made that happen, having been head of the CPS once. This isnt to politicise this btw. But I have never ever heard of them being them made to step up and do extra in my time. Accountability and visible responsibility. See how those wankers like it. I fucking hate them.

(a) There are actually enough empty houses to house everyone, plus the sell-off of council houses and refusal to replace those, so that working people can have affordable housing.

(f) See above. Also the decision to pay the WFA to anyone of pension age was probably a flawed one in the first place.

(g) People use this phrase "illegal immigration" without understanding that legal migration completely dwarves truly illegal immigration. People who are refugees from violent situations or seeking asylum for other reasons are "illegal".

And many industries, particularly in the health and social care sectors, rely on immigration. It's simply not logical to say that we should stop immigration while complaining about the lack of doctors and dentists. No one could argue against securing our borders, and making sure we know who's here. But the free movement of people as part of EU membership played a huge part. Leaving the EU reduced that significantly but it also encouraged illegal migration via small boats.

It's a well worn historical trope - blame immigrants/someone different for the problems YOU face, caused by YOU.

The vast majority of people in an election that happened less than a month ago voted for parties with balanced immigration policies. That is a wide recognition that the majority of people don't think immigration is the root cause of all of these problems. If enough people thought that it was such a big issue, then Reform would have gotten more of a vote share. But they didn't. Even if you combine the right wing parties who are considered tougher on immigration, you only get 37% of the vote share. So how is that the voice of the majority, exactly? It actually feels like the majority think all of these problems have a different cause...

You are making an assertion that everybody agreeing with (a) through (f) necessarily means that most people agree with (g), and you haven't demonstrated that to be true.

Exactly, reform ran on a platform of racist policies and were front and centre of every tv channel-and got 14% of the vote.

This country has always rejected the far right.
 
What worries me the most is the social media bollocks..its fucking relentless and making it 10 times worse
Christ knows what it'll be like when this AI gets going. Scary because the youth are never off it. Won't know what's real or not.
