UKIP

Its suprising isnt it that a debate about UKIP comes to down to race

If it was about the Lib Dems it would be about flip flopping, if it were Labour it would be about Milband (Ed) is a wierdo and the tories would be Cameron is an Eton educated out of touch toff.

UKIP mentioned and its about race

Race

Yes, I'm pointing out that the idea of "right" and "wrong" immigrants whilst being anti immigration is ridiculous.

Should I start drawing pictures for you instead? I'm not good with Paint

You point out no such thing.

As you say earlier in the thread "just say what you mean" stop beating around the bush.
Maybe practise what you preach once in a while ?

You don't agree with him so insinuate he is racist.

If however i have it totally wrong and you were not trying to smear a posters credability i would get the crayola's out :)

I assume, like everybody else, that people follow their sarcasm and their humour is self evident.

Like everybody else, I constantly fuck this up.

Fair play Damo - I can be a bit of a dick myself at times too, so totally understand what you mean.

Obama makes political pacts with all kinds of nefarious fucks but it doesn't mean that Obama shares the political beliefs, positions and goals of said nefarious fucks. The only thing it says for certain is that Obama believes that these pacts benefit him politically.

Speaking generally, just as leftists have/had a problem with crazed communists, libertarians do have a problem with racists/neonazis. For a Libertarian Party to grow and establish itself it will have to fend off these sorts, it's par for the course.

Politics is by nature a concensus, you have to do it.

Finding a mutual agreed position disavowes extremists

Have you ever thought that your libertarian views are not really of the right. I consider myself fairly libertarian and im on the far left generally.

True libertarianism scares me but again its about definition of how far you want to go.

Doesn't always turn out like that.......

Yes, politics forces you to court the favour of people you dislike, even moreso for a new party attempted to get off the ground and challenge the status quo.

With that said, I think it a mistake for libertarian parties to make pacts or court favour with undesirables. The libertarians in the US tried it a few decades ago and, imo, hurt them when they finally got into the mainstream (Ron Paul's presidential campaigns in 08-12)

Not quite sure what your 2nd sentence means, tbh.

If you wanted to be simplistic about it, my libertarian views are equal measures left(socially) and right (economically)

Tho, speaking practically and not philosophically, the right/Conservative Party today is not economically right enough and the left/Labour Party is not socially left enough. And, of course, from my viewpoint, the inverse is just a complete disaster on both counts

I carry an attitude that when people suggest an extreme point of view, they have to support this with something.

I also recognise debating and logical fallacies when I see them, having trained in this.

I seem to be getting slagged off because I asked people to support their opinion.

Interesting

Hmm i see no question here.

"The wrong type of immigrants.

Interesting."

Yes, I'm pointing out that the idea of "right" and "wrong" immigrants whilst being anti immigration is ridiculous.

I backed off earlier at Rascal's suggestion but shouldn't have bothered. Ever since then your condescending attitude has got worse and worse. If you had any training - as you claim - it clearly didn't include social or debating skills. Or does muttering the word "interesting" after each sneer count for something on Planet Smug?
