ULEZ Letter

So one pass for one person the the owner of the car, how about their family that use the car to drop off at school go and do the weekly shop etc etc. £2k will last maybe a year at a push then what? Finance you say, let’s see new car on finance on around £200 a month and I’m been generous, I suppose if they can afford that they won’t be on benefits. If the want to really clean up then put it on the MOT and fail the cars immediately, but then they won’t get the income will they? Let’s not forget all the fines they will be collecting as well. From thise that can’t afford to pay, bailiffs at the door next.

Didn't you start this thread because you were annoyed at having to fork out the extra money yourself for the occasional trip to London?

Now you are retired can't you become a part time Steve Bray and lobby parliament and city hall?

If you read the Mayor's briefings he has made it clear that he has asked for more money to pay for scrappage schemes.

Public transport in London is not getting worse. They've spent the equivalent of HS2 on new railway lines.

And as for "

the word "could" is doing a lot of heavy lifting. Given the congestion in London, public transport can be quicker than driving.

Think he was talking about Burnham and Manchester.

No I started it to ask if anyone else had received a letter, he’s asked for more but I’d like a blow Job off the wife and neither are going to happen, if he wants more money then delay until he gets it.

"anonymous" texter is giving up his job because he is "badly effected" by something that hasn't happened yet. Just because his car has outstanding finance doesn't mean that - if he exists - he can't sell the car and buy a compliant one - a 10 reg petrol will do the trick

Keep up, that particular post was about the situation in Greater Manchester !

Using it against Labour. In Greater Manchester they have had to curb Labours enthusiasm for their grand scheme !

Two areas jumped at being in the scheme that already met the existing criteria. If that's not about cashing in, then tell me what is ?
It's the Tory way. Tell a Labour council to do something, then get the local Tories to kick up a stink about it.

Transport, housing, it's what they do.

another one failing to realise that this is a Tory Tax insisted upon by a Tory Transport Minister....... he could of course sell and buy a compliant car.

I think Tory Central Office was busy doing the rounds this morning pretending to be other people - or this is genuine and he thinks £4k is more than the health of his Mrs, two kids, other family and friends - how selfish can a man be

He can't delay it. Because the whole of the TFL funding agreement is conditional on ULEZ's expansion.
