ULEZ Letter

No honestly, they actually have a way of checking the air pollution on certain roads and local areas. Now obviously climate change is affected by everyone globally including China etc....

But here in the real world ULEZ is as much about local pollution. Surprised you didn't know that tbh but I'm glad I could help.

Anyhow as your adding 15% to your jobs you needn't worry about any of this, so alls well that ends well.
Sorry what would you like me and other tradesmen do? Just pay out the £250 a month extra tax and not expect you, the customer , to help pay for that? Just so you can feel better about yourself

Like the poster that said families should get buses everywhere without realising whats actually involved in getting kids about … you arent in the real world

ULEZ is only there as a way to make money, not to stop pollution otherwise they’d just ban vehicles with excessive emissions.

Thats what happens when you are starved by the state.
The easiest way of getting people into electric cars is envy, just tell every car park that 1 in 10 car parking spaces have to be a working free electric charging spot, then let them know that 2 years later it will be 2 and so on, after all the screaming you will find these companies find a way of getting free electricity for themselves, people will also find they do not have to queue for hours to get a charging point.
But the government will leave it to market forces, so all these electric cars will have nowhere to charge up, apart from expensive sites with huge queues, which will be taxed again.

I don't expect anything nor am I arsed what you do tbh. I never said you should or shouldn't do anything so stop making up scenarios in your head. Move on.

The cost of materials has gone up steadily in the last couple of years. If you employ someone their wages will have gone up. Do you not pass those new extra costs on to customers?

Like the other poster expecting families to get buses every where and you not arsed about working people having to pay to drive to work you literally are in cloud cuckoo land

Yep. The costs go up n up for all concerned

We are one of the most taxed countries in europe. Got to be a line somewhere

so the £12.50 a day ULEZ is just another rising cost to be passed on - I have no idea what makes ULEZ such a special case over say VAT.

What sort of cars are ULEZ non-compliant? I have an 06 plate Golf and I ran it through the test online and it passed!!!!

The Beatles song TAXMAN has never felt so apt as it does right now. We are getting fleeced left right and centre by corporate greed and government policy. We need a complete reset.

Utilities face rising stock cost so through a compliant Ofgen they make massive profits but tell us its not linked.
Banks see interest rates rise and banks profits soar - no relation between the two
Rates rise, profits soar so savers benefit of course? You mental? Banks benefit with larger profits. You know how this has worked.
Never has the gap between rich and poor been as wide

Because its an additional tax. We already pay VAT

Taxes get added/raised/lowered all the time Brexit brings with it lots of new charges - or taxes - that will hit the country too yet Brexiteers don't complain about that ( though I realise thus far they are afraid to talk about any aspect of Brexit lol )

Mostly diesel that are the problem - plenty of pre 2000 petrol cars scrape under the bar. One bloke I work with has a lovely Skoda superb estate which is like new but he's having to get rid (diesel), but his neighbour with a 2002 Volvo V70 (petrol) is fine.
