ULEZ Letter

You do realise you are largely talking to people who have never lived or worked in greater London for any real length of time? They look at the tube map etc and think you can wizz round anywhere at any time, whereas the truth is a lot of people are living and working in outer London - within the M25/ulez, but not actually very well served by public transport for journeys that are mostly around those outer edges of the zone rather than in and out of central London.

I’m loving the “just buy an ev” advice in the middle of a cost of living crises that they tell us constantly has left us all poorer than we have ever been.

Pick up an NHS patient on the way and drop them or another off at the end of the shift?

ULEZ exemption.
Oh do fuck off! - same patient everyday with an appointment that coincides with the time your shift starts? Back in the real world people have to actually get on with their lives!

Yep. I made the point earlier in the thread about the type of folk who are likely to have non compliant vehicles, and the sorts of journey they need to make.

Can’t wait for the oncall plumber to get on the bus with all his stuff to come fix your leaking boiler!
You'll have to give fode in the hole the postcodes so he can use the tfl journey planner and look on Amazon for a huge tool bag with wheels - where there's a will there's a way!

Sorry didn't know you were being serious. For someone who wums most of the day and posts bollocks without having bothered to read facts on particular cases involving dead children you are a bit touchy tonight.

Sorry, for someone who tells people to kill themselves on here I didn't think a few dead kids would bother you either

It's amazing me that all of these committed, and dyed in the wool socialists want to support what amounts to a tax on the poor ?

Even better than that is is being accused of being a tory because you disagree with the burden being placed on the poor, so that the wealthy can have clearer roads.

The lumpen proletariat WILL use public transport, and curtail their personal freedoms, as long as it's a Labour Mayor pushing it.

No - they are people who don't want their kids friends and family breathing toxic air all because a clown doesn't want to spend £5k on a replacement car. They don't value their own kids lives at £5k. Imagine how much of a thundercunt you'd have to be to actually believe that should be the case. Imagine saying to them give me £5k or every night I will pump foul poisonous air into your kids bedroom and in the day I will follow them round pumping it in their faces.

And if they don't have 5 grand, and have to feed their own kids on a low wage. Are they thundercunts as well ?

How does paying £12.50 a day, that you don't have clean the air, are you personally going to give them 5 grand so that they are no longer a thundercunt ?

I know, let's victim blame the low paid, all your problems solved hey !

While the electric aeroplanes fly overhead, and the cars all run off magic electricity from renewable sources :-)

ha Ha are you joking, nobody wants people to breathe shit air, but please don’t tell us it’s not a cash grab, paying by the mile is on the cards already,
so you buy your new EV and then they put up,the tax on electric and then charge you to drive per mile! They’ve already stopped letting you have free road tax for on EV from 2025, why? Is because they need the tax revenue. If/when hydrogen comes in then it’s basically free fuel, no tax to be paid, then it will be tax per mile, nothing to do with emissions etc.
If they really want the cars/vans off the road make them fail their MOTs, force them to scrap them, but they know they can’t as their would be a huge uprising as the whole country would have to be involved, instead people will have to pay. If suddenly everyone changed on the 28th august, how would that help the tfl finances?
