I see Eric Dier has come out and very angrily accused Hererra of elbowing him in the face.

This seems to be the only video of it.

Rooney (shakes head), this is why he is fucked now imo, nowt to do with how long he has been playing. Look at his ex team mate Giggs, whatever you think of him he took care of himself and was a winger well into his 30's, on merit to. He will also have been training hard at 16 when Rooney was playing in the prem so it is not as if he was taking it easy until then, same goes for many a player. Rooney went 2 years ago lets say, that's just not good enough for someone paid what he gets.

If the story was pushed by dog dick face or not it matters little, the pertinent part for me is...Rooney gets given an inch = takes a mile. Getting smashed until 5am is not the behaviour of someone with their career under pressure at the top, well anyone with a desire to fight for it. I think he has checked out totally now, that is the action of someone who does not give a fuck anymore, not someone with any fire in the belly left.

Man Utd boss Jose Mourinho furious with FA over Wayne Rooney incident
By Andy Burton, Sky Sports News HQ

Jose Mourinho is furious with the Football Association after learning that England backroom staff were present when Wayne Rooney socialised into the early hours at the weekend, Sky Sports News HQ understands.

Rooney was pictured in the early hours of Sunday morning with hotel guests who had attended a wedding, with pictures of him emerging in a report in the Sun newspaper on Monday.

The report quoted a source as saying "Wayne was in the bar with members of the FA, drinking beer and red wine", although a spokesman for Rooney has since defended the England skipper's actions.

The presence of FA employees in the area of the hotel where Rooney was up late and drinking alcohol is understood to have incensed Mourinho.

Sky sources have been told that, while the Manchester United manager has no issue with Rooney relaxing on a night off, he is unhappy that the England captain was allowed to behave in this manner while under the responsibility of the Football Association - and that it has since become public.

I just don't understand this one at all. Wayne Rooney is the one responsible for how much he drinks, not Phil Jagielka or any FA coach. He's 31, he should know his limits

He's a bit like me then. He knows his limits but can never reach them.

I was about to say that, at 31, he should be old enough to know his own mind.

Then I remembered it's shrek.

Sorry as a Professional football on a huge Salary alcohol does effect your overall condition and performance. Players getting paid fortunes if they cant go there professional career without alcohol they should quit the game.

He's never been very professional, which is why he's finished at this level, despite only being 31. He still goes to to his chinese buffets, smokes, and drinks, on a regular basis.
