Tin hat firmly in place but there is a little bit of me which wants Liverpool to take the record off them re prem league. It would annoy them for ever.
I don't do inferiority complexes.I wanted to start a new thread on this but i don't seem to have permission..
Do you think we still have an inferiority complex compared to the rags and if so when do you think it'll end?
The reason I ask is that is that I regularly see comments (and I too am guilty of this) comparing us to the rags. We finish 3rd in the league or say QF of CL and instead of comments about how far we've come or that we should be aiming to win it, it's not unusual to see comments such as "well at least we finished above the rags" or "they weren't even in the CL".
How long before we really, genuinely don't care and just focus on our own selves? How long before success is measured against say real madrid rather than a team that finished 6th? We've been a big team now for a fair few years now.

I'll take that as a compliment :-)I think anyone who visits Bluemoon, even on a semi-regular basis, would agree with that.

I admire the sentiments, but don't go there (Yes, I know you were joking). I had a CA on April 30th, a pacemaker fitted the following week, and then renewed my seasoncard! A nice 11 day holiday in Stepping Hill hospital for the lucky one here, and a chance to see my new /first grandchild, who was born the day after! Keep fit - you'll see City for longer. My dislike of the rags only really turned to an all-consuming hatred when the Pisscan turned up. Before then I was fairly indifferent to them. Then that cnut came along and turned the rivalry on its head with his anti-City vitriol and his venomous attacks on us all the time. I could go on and on about the obnoxious players he's had (Keane, Van-Nistleroy, Beckscum, Scholes etc etc), or his belligerent and confrontational nature when anyone not connected to the rags dares to speak to him. I could go on about the cheating, the diving, the kicking of opponents. I could mention all the fucking millions and millions of pounds the Govan despot had to spend and all the fallow years it took him before a bit of success (eventually) came his way. I remember the 'Fergie Out' banners and the abuse he got from the plastics before the Premier League came along and saved his bacon (pun intended).
But all I'll say is, one day it will be jelly and ice cream...and I shall fucking gorge myself to a cardiac arrest.
When that day comes, honestly how many City fans really intend to eat jelly and icecream? My dislike of the rags only really turned to an all-consuming hatred when the Pisscan turned up.
