Looks like they're not offering Big Nose a new contract. SSN bloke says this is only good news for Utd as they can now go after the biggest names in football.
Gorge Boyd? Gross Barkley? Diego Costalot?

According to quite a few pundits during the season his mere presence in the dressing room was huge for united because he's big time player with a winning mentality. He presumably dragged them up to 6th through the sheer force of his personality. I wonder where they will finish now he's gone?

It's more of a local thing bud.
Even If they/we were in League Two or whatever, I'd still find myself comparing us to them as socially in the area, that's how it is.
Makes it even more sweet now in discussion as we can consistently compete with them.
Inferiority complex?
Probably as a little kid in the 90's but most of the general public were plastic Twats anyway, just TV-fans.
Having the Champs league on national TV helped this.
Kids these days are glued to youtube and CityTV is completely free ;)
As I walk around the area I see more city shirts than ever before.
To quote the stone roses - Sally cinnamon - "the past is yours, well the futures mine"
Enjoy the ride, it's local banter, I couldn't give a fuck about any other club.
I compare City to City, and that's it.
Just Raggies for the lulz/banter
No, not "doing nothing." I want him to be in starting 11!I hope Shrek's advisors have told him he won't get a comparable wage deal anywhere else in the UK so he might as well stay at the rags. I would love to see his bloated face next season still there and doing absolutely nothing except draw his three hundred grand a week.

My dislike of the rags only really turned to an all-consuming hatred when the Pisscan turned up. Before then I was fairly indifferent to them. Then that cnut came along and turned the rivalry on its head with his anti-City vitriol and his venomous attacks on us all the time. I could go on and on about the obnoxious players he's had (Keane, Van-Nistleroy, Beckscum, Scholes etc etc), or his belligerent and confrontational nature when anyone not connected to the rags dares to speak to him. I could go on about the cheating, the diving, the kicking of opponents. I could mention all the fucking millions and millions of pounds the Govan despot had to spend and all the fallow years it took him before a bit of success (eventually) came his way. I remember the 'Fergie Out' banners and the abuse he got from the plastics before the Premier League came along and saved his bacon (pun intended).
But all I'll say is, one day it will be jelly and ice cream...and I shall fucking gorge myself to a cardiac arrest.

They'll finish top six again, I reckon. I expect a similar season from last time round. An utterly piss-poor return on the money they've shelled out in recent years (and will this summer)According to quite a few pundits during the season his mere presence in the dressing room was huge for united because he's big time player with a winning mentality.
