He's negative all the time.

Being negative is a pattern, and that is what people have an issue with. If you are generally forward thinking and every now and then be a little more diplomatic, that is not constituted as negative. It's balanced thinking.

Very poor example to use.
I am being sarcastic, people have every right to criticise after a performance like that, yet some think it's unacceptable. Fuck it, that was an utter disgrace out there this evening.

What a load of shite...Mendy was our best fucking player when he came on.

what exactly did he do that makes you believe that?

he hit a few crrosses a tthe first defender (pretty standard) put two way to deep (almost predictably) and was generally very average - People keep saying he is a great attacking threat...ive not seen it since he initially injured himself in his first season with us - since then he has offered very little accept a social media presence!

The previous united losses this season were unfortunate and we were clearly the better side for most of the duration - but this?? Massive backward step and it pains me to say it, but nited appear to be closing the gap even despite our decline. Yes we won a cup, always an achievement, but we weren't convincing in that and had fortunate draws - Real Madrid? well we'll see if that was a sustainable performance.

Agreed, To play that position, you need quick feet,!Rodri’s a good player, but Fred Astaire he ain’t, takes an age to get the ball out of his feet, title acceleration, we need a different type of player there.

Rodri is a bad fit for us. He will be great in a slower league where he has an age on the ball and doesn't have to track back with pace, just like he was in Spain.

he's average at shot stopping. yes, we have lot of other problems, but apart of looking great when passing (he's not passing that great either recently), he's average keeper. Not better than half of the league's.
Is he the best shot stopper in the PL, no. But no way are there 10 better shot stopping keepers in the PL.

Complacency as simple as that, also he hasn’t played the last couple of games cup final and fa cup bit rusty, but I’m not gonna call him out he had an off day it happens, but it sort of sums up our season slightly just not at it at times ..

Arrogance to try and put your foot on the ball rather than behind it, nowt to do with not playing

It's a derby mate it fucking hurts. We may have won the league cup but that showing and a fair few others this season proves we are miles off Liverpool. If we don't sort it quickly the best of the rest, including the rags, will catch us up.

We could have helped keep them twats out of the top 4, especially after the Chelsea win earlier. We have failed twice this season against them and we’re shite in both of them. The only consolation being that we won the cup and they didn’t but it still feels shit

Because he’s a knob

No mate, you're a knob.

The "knob" you refer to came out a few weeks ago, stuck his chest out, and declared to the assembled media that he was staying at city unless they sack him. This, at a time when the entire UK sports media had spent days telling us he was walking out of his contract.

He's far from blameless, he clearly doesn't give a shit about Derbies, unless they're of the Real v Barca variety, but when the chips were down this year he stood up and allowed himself to be counted.

The truth is, he has been let down by the club's transfer business.

As was Pellers.
As was Mancini.

My fear is, he has put all his eggs in the CL basket, when we have a squad that is 7 or 8 players shy of being good enough to win it.

He's said what he needs to so he doesn't hang his players out.

Don't get yourself confused with actual thoughts Vs a professional response.

He can say we didn't play well and the players didn't perform well.

Otamendi, Zinchenko, Gundogan, Rodri, Mendy, Cancello aren't good enough for a club that has ambitions to be the country's/Europes best.

Sterling in this form is also a liability at the moment too.
That’s why they should be backups. Well beside Sterling and Rodri at least.

Is he the best shot stopper in the PL, no. But no way are there 10 better shot stopping keepers in the PL.

there are maybe 8 or 12, I don't have exact shotostopometer device. But he's average keeper. My kid is 10 year old keeper and I'd bollock him for most of the goals Ederson concedes.

6 changes from the starting XI against Madrid and a shocker from one of the other 5 players. No wonder we weren't great. We have a good squad but...

In the grand scheme of things the loss isn't important. If Pep and the players were asked to choose to lose a game from SW and MU, they'd have gone with MU because FA Cup is more important than the league now.

Cancelo and Zinch were poor, Raz was worse than them, Kun's legs are not for big games away from home and on current form he might start from the bench against Madrid. Foden wasn't bad but that's it. People should calm a bit and understand Pep plays certain players for a reason. Both Rodri and Gundy were excellent against Madrid, so to explain our performance with the fact that both played isn't serious.

Question for me is who plays at CB against Madrid. Both Otamendi and Dinho aren't in great form.

Ederson started the season well but has been inconsistent. This kind of performance was coming. Pray he is himself in the CL. Made a good save in Madrid.
