United and Liverpool EFL project - proposal rejected

To be honest I thought it would all be about keeping their own PPV/TV receipts which has been an ambition for 25 years and would end up something like an 80/20 split for the top 20%.
The next step.
Giving clubs such as Bournemouth Burnley Norwich and co £10m from the TV pot for a match and having to do it at least ten times a season must grate the money men.

I take the view that anything that Redscouse and Rags want has to be a Bad Thing.

I suggest an alternative - that in future seasons the two clubs with the largest net debt are automatically relegated.
Surely they've not just got together themselves, without anyone else, and conjured this up?

If it ain't broke don't fix it!!

It's literally broke! The EFL is going bankrupt one by one.

It would be very naive to think City aren't in full favour of this.

You think it's a coincidence this surfaces a few days after Ferran Soriano is discussing how this crisis gives us a chance to have a sit down and sort out long standing problems with the EFL and Premier League?

Full details:

2nd tweet has all of the proposals. Some decent suggestions but they're being levelled out with a huge power grab from the big clubs.

Some of the more awful ones:
- Clubs can vote on new potential ownership of another club.
- 9 longest serving premier league teams get the final say on everything with just 6 votes needed to put something through.
- League Cup scrapped, Premier League reduced to 18 teams with more European football then being played.
