United Away Sold Out

You can't do anything about the people who buy tickets to sell on to keep their points up but the ticket allocation to OSC's should become an obsolete practice now.
Why though ? Because of some perceived supporters club abuse, which anyone with the points can do if they so choose.

Might as well do away with our supporters club as well then, do you really think the supporters clubs take 1000's of tickets ?

Now i never said 1000's but they shouldn't even get a single one between them. There is absolutely no benefit of that particular process now we have the technology to obtain tickets easily without queuing outside the ticket office of a morning.

The loyalty system is there so we should all be responsible for our own membership.

If you might as well do away with the OSC if they stopped getting allocations, then i guess that shows they only exist for people to get tickets when they usually couldn't.

supporter groups getting allocated tickets is a joke, i know 2 people who's goin and neither have more than 1,000 points and have only been going city about 3 years, not even that, they don't even show for the home Europa league and F.A cup games.

couldn't give a fuck what anyone says, the club need to take a serious look, it's a joke.

In theory. Needs tinkering. Imagine a large cricle with smaller inner circles covering the whole of the contry.

The circle. (centre point COMS)

Gtr Manchester 5pts.

The North. ( North West, Yorkshire, etc) 10 pts.

The Midlands. (Midlands/North East, etc) 15pts.

London / South Wales / East Anglia, etc. 20 pts.

The South /South West, etc 25 pts.

The same formula could apply to cup matches. Basically the further you're prepared to travel to watch City, the more away/loyalty points you get. You've made the effort.

With far away games not selling out, those behind on loyalty points, and who can attend a few of these far away matches will get a chance to catch up. well?

Are these all away games?

Absurd and would never work. Simple fact - we are now everyone's target and the away games are mostly going to sell out. Those with enough points now (5,250++) will be fine, but those running behind that are never likely to catch up - next season all the serious point collected will have moved up pro-rata, so next season, you will probably need 5800points plus to go to the swamp.

If above applied, then I would be sitting next to Mancini! I live part of the year in Kent and the rest in New York and last season managed most home and aways (except Sunderland and Burnley aways) and this season most again (including the europa aways). With that mileage, I would get 500 points per game!

But that can happen outside the supporters club too, as Cleavers pointed out earlier. If a lad with 6,000pts can't go but gets one for his mate with 2,000pts what's the difference exactly?

I never said you said 1000's, it just seems to be a perception of some that the supporters clubs are widely abusing the system, and they are not.

I don't understand why people feel so strongly about the supporters club getting tickets using the same rules as the rest with one minor exception, that they order 6 weeks ahead. Like it or not the supporters club is, and long has been part of the structure of the club, and for all of that time, one of the "perks" has been the ability to get tickets together, why is this so wrong, its an officially sanctioned part of the club, why is there not the same outrage that the corporate whores who can pay £300 a go get tickets.

This subject only ever crops up in the weeks before derby day, its never an issue for any other game.

true point.

bue theres a big difference... is it's not hundreds of tickets and it won't be happening EVERY week.

Its not 100's of tickets though, this is a myth. I've said above, I'd be surprised if the whole supporters club has 150 tickets for all its branches, for this game, and I bet corporate has 2 or 3 times that.

And to repeat....

Why wouldn't it work?

Don't you give your permanent address to the club when renewing your season ticket? Doesn't the same apply when you purchase away tickets?

Do you honestly think the club will bother if you live the rest of the year in New York? Your adress is in Kent. If City are playing in London, you get less loyalty points because you live close to London.(as in Kent) If City are playing in the Midlands or the North, you get more loayalty points, as you live further away and have to travel more. Is that not fair?

Why would anyone blag an address and have the hassle of having their season ticket and away match tickets sent to that address everytime, only for them to be reposted to the true address? Is it really worth the hassle? Not only that, the club already has the addresses of every season ticket holder, etc, on their database.

Put it this way. I'm going to Aris. 20 loyalty points. I think any fan who makes the effort to travel abroad during midweek should get more loyalty points than that. Don't you? What is it for United away? 10 loyalty points. And I bet there's a good few going to that that match that don't even have enough loyalty points in the first place.

Those fans making the effort should be rewarded with more loyalty points. That's my point. There's nothing wrong with that idea is there?

150 normally on 3 corperate coaches, far more to supporters cubs.

Just because fans go to a game on a coach doesn't mean they should have an extra allocation.
