If you've got a cup final on Saturday would you run yourself into the ground and risk injury on a Tuesday night trying to score 19 goals? I wouldn't be surprised if they threw both games so they could get a free run at the league next season. Something very odd has happened here and will be very interesting to see what it is when it comes out in the wash. No doubt it will be hidden deep away inside the corridors of power with the old Trafford fax machine.
