United (H) Post Match Thread

I agree. We have folded like a pack of cards twice in 2 games. One game cos it was a bit too loud for our darlings. Confidence Is low in the fans and the squad. I'm anticipating not going through in the CL and folding under pressure against spurs. We'll stagger over the line.

Sadly I agree. I can only say how I feel and that's deflated.
I hope the players have more fire in them than I have after the last two games.

Never thought i would be but I'm sadly in the Pep fucked up camp, never mind Sterling, never mind the ref, if we'd had a full strength team out we wouldn't have let that slip. That is the 2nd time Pep has played a weakened team against united and for me that is a crime, personally I would rather beat united in a league cup game than Liverpool in the Chumps League. Please if someone inside the club is reading this forum explain to Pep what MANCHESTER is about.

You can’t say that mate. Pep cannot be questioned and we all should be happy with the biggest week of our season going tits up by awful decisions. Whilst some idiots will want to play down the derby (very rag like with how they played it down to us) it means a lot to us fans. He should be accountable for his actions. I’m very good at my job but if I had as bad of a week as he has had then I’d be explaining myself.

Does anyone know the pricks crying in the stand after the game shown to the world on sky, if so name and shame the fuckers! They should be paraded before the crowd at the next home game and pelted with rotten tomatoes! Talk about embarrassing

Fuck me there’s some flappers on here!
We’ve had two freak results imo, partly down to fatigue (I know they’ve had a break but some of look leggy) at the closing stages of an incredible season. We have conceded two games to inferior opposition as a result. Yesterday we could have been 5-0 up half time but we weren’t. It happens. Even in that poor second half we could have had another three but for a brilliant save, bad luck, and one of the most obvious penalties you’re likely to see being denied by a referee who makes me question the integrity of the game I love. In fact his performance in the second half was ludicrously one sided and absolutely aided the result.
Having said all that I don’t know what has happened to our defending. We lost control and we lost our concentration.
So with one trophy in the bag we will also win the title in a matter of days. It’s no big deal really.

We don’t get much practice at facing sustained pressure, but we should be capable of defending set pieces and crosses. United didn't have the ball enough yesterday to sustain pressure on us. They had 15 minutes where they created 3 chances.

The ref was awful, but we should have been out of sight in the first half. Then, definitely for their second and third goals they were absolutely free. No marking, no challenge and nobody trying to get in the way.

Young’s foul on Sergio was a disgrace. It was a blatant penalty and anywhere else on the pitch he’d get pulled up for it. The ref bottled that and a few other decisions. Sterling had a defender on his back in the first half and it was waved away.

But, my concern is that they had 4 chances yesterday and scored 3 goals. That’s just not good enough at any level of football. I don’t want to criticise the team, we’ve been superb this year. We capitulated yesterday because we thought the game was won. We took our foot off the gas and panicked when they scored. We didn’t try to change the intensity, we didn’t make subs until we were behind and we were very guilty of not putting the game to bed when they were on the ropes first half.

Just saved me a job. I was going to say what you did but wanted to calm down a but first. Still can't believe what I saw yesterday.

Can anyone tell me why Gundogan refuses to tackle and yet is playing Cm. Ability not in doubt but he shit out of every challenge. Did the same against lpool with Milner for Oxs goal. They stepped it up tempo wise yesterday and got more physical and he went missing. Again.

I felt worse travelling home last night than the Wigan final, that really hurt to lose in that way.
Will take a long time to get over yesterday.

Not felt like this since we last got relegated at Ipswich. Never seen anything like it, peoples’ faces were just shell shocked. Coming out of the ground there was an Erie silence. People weren’t talking to each other, just walking to Town with heads down.

Yeah the crowd conceded those three goals - bollocks. Rags hardly sang at all until they got back into it.

Exactly.

They and their team were dead & buried, their players had bottled it & the crowd was getting right at them.

They came out 2nd half, geed up by Mourinho, ready to have one last go & were met by a half empty, half hearted ground & a City team who also thought it was easy.
