United (H) Post Match Thread

not the first time, either. Last season they beat us three times out of four, but we still finished above them AND won the only game that mattered, on our way to a cup. This season, they've taken 4 points off us, but let's face it: we'll beat them to the league AND once again we beat them when it mattered in the semi final.

They've won a lot of battles over the last couple of years. But we keep winning the war, and that's fine with me.

Precisely.. we are their cup final. Until it’s a cup final that is...

As you say, we won the only match that really mattered against them this season. Pep has us thinking like a big club that is all.. it’s just another game. Trophies are all that really matter.

I think you're a bit out to the tune of one goal there mate. "Striker scores a sitter" and we lose 2-1.

jesus is a striker and conceded an utter wankish penalty ( hence my reference to a knobish tackle) and Sterling misses a tap in, that’s 1 - 1 - 23 shots at goal, strikers let us down today

That was 100% on team selection. Jesus abs Sterling have never scored or performed in derbies. Neither should have started. Phil and Bernardo should both have played with KDB false nine.
The moment they scored I knew we were in trouble. We gave a counter attacking side a goal lead while we started with a team without a natural goal scorer.

When you get to a certain age, and watching the amazing team we have becomes, it becomes less about the defeat but more the manner of the defeat. Just expected a bit more fight. And before anyone cracks on and talks about wet fannies, fuck off, this is Derby day, emotions count!
Those who come on here and talk about wet fannies don't complain when City play badly and/or lose.
Interestingly, rags and dippers don't complain when City play badly and/or lose.
