It’s not an obsession it’s an embarrassment.

A guy near me has 26000 pts, goes every game home and away but still leaves early, including Sunday. Not sure why, but he does. Most of the regulars, some very vocal ones during the game, ones who have been in their seats for at least seven years - since when I moved there - slope off quickly at the whistle. I just don’t think any amount of discussion will change it, certainly accusing them of being an embarrassment won’t help if they’re just doing what they’ve always done.

I know if I asked the 26k guy for his reasons he would just say “if a guy on 250k a week can’t handle not being clapped off, he can f right off”.

It’s a bit sad though that all the rag watchalongs have finally accepted their team is proper shite now (except for Banshee Alice who is still in the anger stage). Goldbridge got quite nasty I thought once he knew they were going to get dicked big time, attacking Foden, Pep, the club in general and us fans for doing the Poznan. The other one with the three sat down that usually includes the hippie (he seems alright tbf) and Andy “Don’t care” Tate has a new team (except the hippie is still there) who just sat in awe as the goals went in. They looked like a bunch of kids expecting a bike for Christmas but ended up with a Blue Peter annual.
