United post-match thread

read what i put again...he is here to establish a way of playing....a style if you were but calling it a style is over simplifying it. A core belief is probably better...this takes time and cant be done over 15 games but surely you can see and must be impressed with the fact that he is getting that style regardless of who we play int eh starting 11.

Did you think utd were better than us...I would say even if you were just to base it on the one game tonight, utd fans will be a lot more worried about that result than we should be...their near strongest 11 against potentially at least 5 players who would not normally play in that game. (Willy, maffeo, navas fernando and garcia...you may add sane into that as well) plus kolorvo at centre half for the entire second half.

Sorry mate you win by scoring most goals, it's not fucking boxing with points for style. United fans texts to me tonight don't seem worried, they are overjoyed. We need to win Saturday. I could not give a shit about 70 percent possession so long as we win.

What's the point in being a top team if you can't compete then? Why are people happy that we went there and offered absolutely nothing for over 90 minutes of football? Why do people deem that acceptable? Why did pep say we are going to win the game but select a side incapable of having 1 shot on target? If people can't be pissed off tonight we never can be. I'm not saying go balls deep for this competition but you certainly don't go and bend over for your rivals and give them a confidence boost
Another idiot who believes that this win will kick start the Rags season.

Not if they give a shit about the fans or winning it they don't. The first manager to play a weakened team for a derby other than goalie rotation once, it was shameful.

Then most managers dont give a shit about fans then, they all do it even championship teams, think of all the money you will save by us being knocked out, eventually some of our fans will move away from this obsession with the shit head rags.

Just got back from the swamp and can't be arsed reading the whole thread but I wonder how the happy-clappies are going to spin that one.
De Donut Thief didn't have a single shot to save.
Yes they parked the bus.
Yes they didn't do much apart from a ten minute spell during which they scored.
Yes Maffeo looks a bloody good player.
Yes Komps was tired rather than injured.
But losing to those shitbags hurts like fuck and we never really looked like winning. Possession means fuck all if you don't do anything constructive with it.
And yes, the three points a couple of months ago were more important, but losing there is particularly painful - unless you don't actually go.
Onwards and upwards, trust in Pep. Wonder if we'll have a shot on Saturday? See you in yam-yam land.

This performance was the result of an abject transfer policy for the last 3 years. Courtesy of Txiki Begiristain, not Pep Guardiola.

Maybe if we stopped loaning our best squad players out we might have a chance then in games like this. We fucking pay for them to play for other clubs, nasri, hart, Denayor, Roberts, that Ukrainian bloke we signed in the summer. Fuckinell we even have yaya at home watching youporn for 300 a week. We have a big squad we just loan them all out. Our squad is big enough we just don't keep them happy.

hart - get over it...i was harts biggest fan but he cant do wha pep wants....would have made no difference
nasri - pep wanted him to stay( nasri confirmed this in an interview) but nasri himself thought he needed a full season of football to get back into it probably...he is the one loanee that could still have a future i think
Denayer - a seres of managers from Mancini to MP to Pep have all loaned him out...they clearly think something just quite isn't there with him (at present)
Zincheko -what difference would he have made tonight?........who would he have replaced and why...he is away getting first team experience
Yaya - well documented....cant play in peps way, won't play cause of what his agent has said.... a power battle between agent and club (don't think for one minute that peps comments about him haven't been sanctioned from the highest level) - a legend but he won't play for us under pep.
Roberts - 18 month loan i think (before pep came here?) not peps decision and again getting much needed and valuable experience on a regular basis

Thought Fernando and Caballero didn't do much wrong either.

Fernando physically dominated Pogba for most of the game - really added some steel to the midfield considering he was playing with Nolito and Garcia.
