I love the States. Beautiful place to visit. I could live in downtown Manhattan quite easily. Sure the people are a little over bearing at times (due to the tipping culture more than anything else) but at least they actually talk to you when you enter a shop instead of the complete ignorance you get over here.

Canada is also great. Lived there for just over a year and loved it. It is getting quite like America in parts but still has enough of it's own beauty to survive.

Spent many an afternoon there by the lake. Pretty place and characteristic. I lived in St. Catharines which is only a stones throw from there.

Oooh...I lived in Oakville, just over the lake from you.

My aunt was teacher there. Near Burlington If remember. Retired now obviously. Miss the place. And the local women who never got tired of my accent. Many happy a night 'smashing back doors'.

Love it there, lived there nearly 7 years and stupidly came back! Love Scottsdale in Arizona and Huntington beach in Cali.

Huntington beach and Newport beach are really nice. I stayed in Placentia whilst I was in California. Easy drive to L.A. from there.

I've been to Southern California, Las Vegas, NYC and Philadelphia so far and I'm already planning my next trip. Hopefully it'll be Chicago and San Francisco next.

Emigrated last September - love it here, no regrets at all (although watching City from afar win the League and parade the trophy got me homesick!). I live in a nice small town built around a beautiful lake, fantastic weather (dreading the lecky bill with the air conditioner on all day!), friendly people (the odd neighbour included!!).

Boston is 40 mins away on the slow train for the gigs / night out etc and the fantastic Cape Cod is 90 mins by car to the centre of it, bit longer to the tip.

Done the west and southwest a few times. Love the desert areas......so alien to us.

Loved Colarado and Utah too. New York City is a cool place, and have done Florida, without a single theme park!

Toss up between Maine/New England or The Deep South next....?

I like the cities, I like the people but I couldn't live there. The ultra-capitalism chokes the life out of me within a week. Best tourism only - and they don't make it easy to do that anymore.

I could live there, i really like the place. I know what you mean about capitalism though, and they are very tought at customs upon entry, but thats how it should be.

I wanna live there too.

Sight my sights on it by the time I'm 45!!
