I watch all sorts of footie matches besides them and do enjoy watching a game without nerves, in relation to them, unless we are playing them, I know they have got beat (highlights) or I can support the opposition the answer is no.

LikeIi said, it is a bit different for me as most of my mates are rags.

I bet, keep spreading the word on Sad Cafe NHD. :-)

Fair play to Dave for trying to educate the drooling hordes over on ragcafe but he's fighting a losing battle.
What's that old saying ? You can lead a horse to water but you can't educate a bunch of cunts!
Something like that anyway.

Re: United thread 2012/13.

Smalling out for 10 weeks with a broken foot but with Vidic back I doubt he'd be starting anyway.

I wonder if I'm alone in this, but being a City fan I'd rather chew my arm off than watch Utd, unless they are playing us, consequently I've no idea how they accumulated their points last season. Utd must be good because they got the same points as us, but how good, strengths and weaknesses I don't have a clue.

My point is, being City fans how often do we actually watch Utd play and how easy is it to see past our dislike of the club to objectively analyse them?

I saw Utd on the box three times last season, I'll leave it to you to guess who their opponents were.
I watch every game that doesn't clash with ours.

Forbidden fruit is it? Why do you watch the scum? Why not take up knitting or some similar engaging hobby?
Forbidden fruit? Not entirely sure what you mean. I like watching football and I hate Utd so watching them is always good as it means something when you're willing their opposition to do well.

Far more interesting than watching Wigan Vs Fulham.

What an idiotic opinion you have.

I will watch every match that does not clash with ours. Can not understand why anyone who is a football fan would not watch a match if they had the opportunity.
All my mates are rags. I would much rather sit there watching the match and having banter with them than watch shit like celebrity big brother.
what a ridiculous comment to make, followed by condescending twaddle
i'd put both on the same level for entertainment

I'll come on here, read, listen to music, watch a film before watching them, and i am a fan of football
each to their own eh?
Odd that you pick on this post and not the one that states watching Utd makes you a closet rag.

I really can't get my head around your refusal to watch Utd games. I enjoyed the Everton and Wigan games nearly as much as any of our games. It's fucking great watching the scum get beaten.

Re: United thread 2012/13.

What's wrong with watching the rags?

The are our rivals, so why nite watch and hope they get beat.

You can always turn it off if they go ahead (although I'm glad I didn't when they played Everton).

Re: United thread 2012/13.

I used to watch every game that was on telly, last season I decided that watching Bolton v Wigan or scum v Villa was hardly worth my time and energy. I will watch the scum play, but only if it's against a team that I think will beat them or at least give them a game. I personally believe that after last season, no team will will be resigned to defeat before they play them. All the teams will have a go this year but I will only watch them against teams that will be rivaling us for the title, ie: Chelsea.
