Re: United thread 2012/13.

I always like to know who the rags are playing so that I can: -
1. Take the piss out of rags who 'don't know' (and so many just don't).
2. Wish a bit of luck to whoever's playing them (they need it with the bent refs).

I don't watch the most of them but I do sometimes watch a rag game because I just love to see 'em get beat.

Yes, I admit that they are key rivals (at the moment) but no, I'm not bitter, I just love to see them lose is all. Same way we all like to see gobshites come a cropper.
If they drop a division then I'll refocus my mild interest by taking a view on a different key rival.

Psychoanalyse that until your hearts content but I hold that I'm a City fan under any scrutiny.

You might just like watching games.

I'd watch pretty much every game I could that didn't clash with Arsenal ones. Spurs, United, City etc.

I wonder if I'm alone in this, but being a City fan I'd rather chew my arm off than watch Utd, unless they are playing us, consequently I've no idea how they accumulated their points last season. Utd must be good because they got the same points as us, but how good, strengths and weaknesses I don't have a clue.

My point is, being City fans how often do we actually watch Utd play and how easy is it to see past our dislike of the club to objectively analyse them?

I saw Utd on the box three times last season, I'll leave it to you to guess who their opponents were.

I wouldn't say you were alone, but I sincerely hope you're in the minority.

Why is that? I know you're not getting at me, but why would I watch a team play that I have no interest in, and actually dislike. For me it would be like eating food I found distasteful, drinking a brand of beer I can't stand (Holts) or watching tennis which renders me comatose.

You have no interest in our closest rivals? Really?

Is there any blues that don't associate with rags?

me, i've got a large social circle that is rag free, over the yrs i've found them arrogant no shows. the type who watch it in the pub spouting about how they win everything, lament about how hard getting a ticket is. had many a fall out with lads over the years which prevents friendships growing.

i know a couple of red s/t holders in my line of work who i'm happy to talk footy with...they are generally good lads.

the upside of having no rag mates is that i never get the sarcastic/abusive txts after we have been humiliated. so its a win win really.

growing up in salford is 70/30 generally red/blue so there was always plenty of blues (and match going ones at that) some areas like parts of swinton there would me even more blues

Re: Fergie backing the Glazers - again

Depends how he is defining youngster. Hart and Richards are mid 20s now.

Re: United thread 2012/13.

My rag mates all text me within minutes of the full time after QPR congratulating us. If your mates aren't cunts, then aren't cunts, red or blue.
